1 WET VETERANS SCHOLARSHIP REGULATIONS WET VETERANS is seeking to assist Four individuals who are Veterans, children and grandchildren of Veterans in their pursuit of a Higher Education. This APPLICATION has been prepared to help us in the selection of the people qualified best at this time..this Scholarship must be used for Education, including Text Books needed for classes. This Scholarship may also be used at a qualified Trade School. The Scholarship award will be paid to the School being attended, not to the student. The recipients will be chosen according to ; 1) Academic Standing 2) Extra-Curricular Activities / Leadership 3) Awards / Special Recognition 4) Essays-Consider the Following: Sense of Purpose, Statement of Academic/Career Goals. 5) Financial Need 6) Interview All APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED AND RECEIVED BY MARCH 15,2016. THE VETERAN ON THE APPLICATION MUST HAVE AT THE LEAST A GENERAL DISCHARGE ANY VETERAN, or person related to a Veteran, APPLICANT MUST BE a resident of HOOD, SOMERVELL, or ERATH COUNTY. ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE either a Veteran, Veterans spouse, Veterans son or grandson, or a Veterans daughter or granddaughter. ANY STUDENT APPLICANT MUST BE a son, grandson, daughter, or granddaughter of a Veteran in good standing. Verification of eligibility will be determined by providing the VETERAN`S DD 214. THE STUDENT APPLICANT MUST BE A GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR, OR HAVE GRADUATED. SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE AWARDED FOR THE 2016 FALL SEMESTER. SCHOLARSHIP WILL BE GIVEN IN HALVES OVER TWO CONNSECUTIVE SEMESTERS IF GPA IS MAINTAINED.

On a separate page, write a brief essay ( ½ to 1 page ) explaining your personal, educational and career goals, and how this scholarship will help you reach these goals. Be specific. ( Please type or print in black or blue ink your essay and be sure to attach a copy, along with your transcript, to your application. ) V. School / Military Activities, Special Recognition, Involvement, and Employment 1. List your most notable activities and any leadership positions held. 2. List any special recognition, awards and / or honors you have received 3. List your most notable community involvement and/or community service activities undertaken. 4.
