Page 3/5 Safety regulations: Please read the following information carefully before installing and operating the regulator. In this way damage to the regulator or the solar system will be avoided. All electrical wiring must comply with the latest IEE regualtions.. Mounting Warning: Switch of power supply before opening the housing!. Mounting at the wall 3 4 Please unlock both snap connections () at the top and at the bottom of the housing by means of a pointed item. The housing () can now be removed from the base (3). The required openings and cable feed-throughs (4) must be broken through and deburred. The positions for the 4 fastening screws (5) must be marked and the base may be attached by means of the enclosed screws and dowels. The electrical connection can be effected now. The unit must only be located internally. It is not suitable for installation in hazardous locations and should not be sited near to any electromagnetic fields. 5. Electrical connection The power supply to the regulator must only be made by an external power supply switch (last step of mounting!) and the line voltage must be 30 Volt ± 0 % (50...60 Hz). Pumps, valves,... can be connected to the consumeroutputs R and R of the terminals at the base: = conductor R 4 = conductor R, 3 = neutral conductor ground clamp = protective earth conductor The power supply is effected at the terminals: 5 = neutral conductor 6 = conductor L ground clamp = protective earth clamp The temperature sensors (S up to S3) will be connected to the following terminals independently of the polarity : / = temperature sensor S 3 / 4 = temperature sensor S 5 / 6 = additional sensor S3, as for measurement purposes or for additional functions (e.g. further stores)

for solar- and heating systemes Page 4/5 The regulator RESOL D is equipped with a RESOL V-BUS-connection for data transmission and energy supply (terminals 7 and 8, marking of connection BUS at the base-/ isolation plate). One or more RESOL V-Bus modules can be connected by this data bus: RESOL WMZ-M, calorimeter-module. The software enables a comfortable balance and function control of the system, but also an editing of the data records for a further processing in other application programmes. The evaluation tool DeltaSol PC can be downlaoded free of charge from the RESOL homepage in the Internet (www.resol.de) or can be directly ordered at RESOL-Elektronische Regelungen GmbH together with a patch cord (see page ). ou will find the location of the special plug jack imprinted on the base/isolation plate at the posititon marked with RS3. chinch plug interface adapter Sub-D connection cable PC, COM-port twisted -wire cable western plug Sub-D plug

Page 5/5 Precision-platin-temperature sensors Pt000 (FKP and FRP) are used for the RESOL DELTA Pro. The arrangement of the sensors is of great importance to the total efficiency of the regulator. The collector temperature should be measured in the upper part of the collector. In stores with own heat exchanger, the sensor must be directly mounted in the upper part of the heat exchanger. By using external heat exchangers, the sensor must be fixed at the bottom of the store. For individual operation systems, our product range contains 3 different types of sensors (sensors for installation in present immersion sleeves, flatscrew sensors or cylindrical clip-on sensors). The sensor types FK and FR have the same electrical features and are available in the same models, They only differ in the connecting cable: FK:,5 m weather- and temperature resistant silicone cable for temperatures between -50 C... +80 C, mostly used for collectors. FR:,5 m PVC cable for tempertures between -5 C... +80 C, mostly used for stores. Make sure that all electrical works are carried out according to the relevant local and IEE-regulations. The sensor cables carry low voltages and they must not run together in a cable conduit with cables carrying higher voltages than 50 Volt. By using longer cables or cable conduits, please use screened cables. The seensor cables can be lengthened up to 00 m, but the cross section must be,5 mm² (or 0,75 mm² up to a cable length of 50m); screened cables should be used preferably. The sensors must not get directly in contact with water, please use always immersion sleeves. Standard temperature sensors: for installation in present immersion sleeves (they are included in complete packages) FKP6 or FRP6: 6 mm, Pt000 Immersion sensors: available in different length (=immersion depth) FKP60: 60mm immersion depth, chromium-plated copper FKP50: 50mm immersion depth, chromium-plated copper Important: The sensors must be completely pushed into the sleeve and the nut must be slightly tightened. Cylindrical clip-on sensors: for any pipe diameter, cpl. with fastening collar FKP0 or FRP0 Ensure good thermal contact of the sensor with the pipework by cleaning the contact area and by applying heat conduction paste between sensor and pipe. In order to protect the sensor cable against outside temperature influences, it is recommended to insulate the pipe. Flatscrew sensors: for installation on flat surfaces FKP8 or FRP8 Ensure good thermal contact. Use conduction paste and insulate the sensors against outside temperature influences. FK... : collector sensor FR... : store sensor Indication: In order to avoid overvoltage damage at the collector (e.g. by lightening), it is highly recommendend to use the overvoltage protection RESOL SP.

Priority can optionally be given to one store. 3 4 If no store is prefered, both stores are independently loaded up until their maximum temperatures are reached (parallel loading). menu point factory setting selected adjustments adjusted values / system adjusted values / min rot. speed 30 % adjusted values / Ton adjusted values / Toff adjusted values / Ton adjusted values / Toff adjusted values / Tmax store 60 C adjusted values / Tmax store 60 C adjusted values / priority adjusted values / Prun 5 min adjusted values / Pbreak min options / frost protection options / store-protection options / tube collectors options / recooling options / collector cooling. options / valvel

Page 5/5 7. Test aid: Pt000-sensor Please check the following items if the regulator RESOL DeltaS does not work faultlessly :. Power supply The power supply is guaranteed if at least one control lamp lights up.. Error report If there is a malfunction in the regulation circuit, the malfunction lamp lights up. By chosing the menu point ERROR REPORT you will get into the submenu, in which a more detailed error description is indicated: Short-circuit: Interruption of the sensor lead with indication of the concerned temperature sensor. The error code - 888.8 is indicated for this sensor in the measurement result menu. Line break: EEPROM: Interruption of the sensor lead with indication of the concerned temperature sensor. The error code 888.8 is indicated for this sensor in the measurement result menu. Error in memory chip.modifications will not be saved in case of power failure. T > 5. K: Plausibility check, temperature difference is higher than 5, K; regulation function is guaranteed but the system must be checked for defect elements (pump, valves etc.). Delete the code: Reset status of error messages. 3. Relay Please check the fuses, if the solar pump is not activated by the regulator in spite of an existing line voltage and mode switch position to I. The relay output of the regulator is protected by can fuses T4 A which are accessible on the base/isolation plate after removing the housing and can be changed now (spare fuses are enclosed).
