Rehabilitation In collaboration with the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute and UPMC Centers for Rehab Services, Cranberry Place offers strong patient-focused rehabilitation services, allowing patients to move through patient-appropriate levels of therapy as they progress. As a result, Cranberry Place patients reap the combined benefits of outstanding physical, occupational, speech, and restorative therapies as physicians work to develop new treatments that are shared across UPMC. The Cranberry Place Transitional Rehabilitation Unit (TRU) for short-stay skilled patients provides convenient access to a well-equipped, spacious therapy area. Board-certified physiatrists (physicians trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation) are integrated into the patient care team. The oversight of the unit by the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute provides patients with the best possible rehabilitation.
