Introduction 1.4 Configuration with active field distributors Note Despite the IP30 covers, the requirements for Zone 2 are not met because the AFS is always connected directly to the FDC 157 coupler. See also Safety instructions for connection (Page 14) 1.4 Configuration with active field distributors Installation with ring redundancy The graphic below provides an example of the configuration with ring redundancy. The symbols for AFD4 field distributors are shown without cable glands for the main lines to maintain clarity. Installing and connecting 2 2.1 Screwing AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 and AFS to the substrate Mounting position The active field distributors AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 and AFS are preferably screwed in place on a flat surface with the connections at the bottom. Requirement The substrate must be level, with load-bearing capacity, and it must be vibration free. Select appropriate fixing accessories for the substrate. There should be a clearance of at least 60 mm below the modules for the connection of main lines and spur lines. You can find the drill hole spacing on the back of the enclosure base (see Technical specifications). Tools required Phillips screwdriver size 4 4 M6 fixing screws; dowels depending on the substrate Screwdriver suitable for the fixing screws used Procedure WARNING Risk of injury! There is risk of injury due to heavy weight of the field distributor. Hold the device firmly in your hand during installation. 1. Remove the 4 screws of the enclosure cover with a Phillips screwdriver. 2. Screw the lower part of the enclosure tightly to the substrate with 4 fixing screws. The torque depends on the fixing screws used. 3. Screw the enclosure cover onto the upper part of the enclosure with the 4 Phillips-recess screws. Torque 2.4 Nm. Product Information, 02/2015, A5E03775304-AC 11

Installing and connecting 2.2 Grounding AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 and AFS 2.2 Grounding AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 and AFS Requirement Active field distributor is mounted. Required accessories Grounding cable, at least 4.0 mm 2 Grounding the active field distributors AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 and AFS 1. Strip the insulation of the grounding cable to 8 mm. 2. Attach the grounding cable to the grounding terminal of the field distributor. Torque 2.0 Nm. 3. Connect the grounding cable to the equipotential bonding PA in accordance with EN 60079-14. DANGER Explosion hazard Sparks may occur when connecting in some circumstances. Never perform the work under explosive conditions! Note Read the safety instructions in the section Safety instructions for connection (Page 14). Equipotential bonding PA In hazardous areas, you need to implement equipotential bonding PA according to IEC 60079-14. Connect the equipotential bonding PA to the shielding of the bus lines. The best EMC protection is achieved with direct grounding for active field distributors. 12 Product Information, 02/2015, A5E03775304-AC

Installing and connecting 2.2 Grounding AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 and AFS Direct grounding The shielding of the bus lines is grounded directly in the hazardous area and in the safe area. This is possible if the equipotential bonding PA runs from the FDC 157 couplers (in the safe area) to the field devices (in hazardous areas), which means if a corresponding equipotential bonding conductor is installed. Note Direct grounding The braided shielding of the connection cables must be guided under the shielding clamps of the active field distributors. Example: Direct grounding of AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) Figure 2-1 Example: Direct grounding of AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) Product Information, 02/2015, A5E03775304-AC 13

Installing and connecting 2.3 Safety instructions for connection 2.3 Safety instructions for connection Safety information Note When laying cables and wiring, make sure that you adhere to the installation regulations in accordance with EN 60079-14 and any regulations specific to your country. DANGER Explosion hazard Sparks may occur when connecting in some circumstances. Therefore, use a non-magnetic screwdriver when connecting the cables. DANGER Explosion hazard A tensile load on the screws of the AFD4, AFD4 (FM), AFD8 and AFS can impair the degree of protection and is not permitted. Implement a fixed Installation for inlet of the cable! Opening the IP30 cover switches off the voltage supply to the terminals and the feed lines. In the hazardous area Zone 2, you are permitted to open the IP30 cover during operation for visual inspection. NOTICE IP30-Cover with AFS Despite the IP30 cover, the requirements for Zone 2 are not met because the AFS is always connected directly to the FDC 157 coupler. Zone 2: Disconnecting the main line / connecting the main line to AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 DANGER Explosion hazard In hazardous area Zone 2, you are not permitted to disconnect the main line from an AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 during operation if it is connected directly to an FDC 157 coupler or an AFS. Before you start the work, disconnect the voltage supply to the FDC 157 coupler(s). In hazardous area Zone 2, you are permitted to disconnect a main line from an AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 during operation if it connects two AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8. Product Information, 02/2015, A5E03775304-AC 15

Installing and connecting 2.3 Safety instructions for connection Zone 2: Disconnecting the main line / connecting the main line to AFS DANGER Explosion hazard In hazardous area Zone 2, you are not permitted to disconnect lines from an AFS during operation. Before you start the work, disconnect the FDC 157 coupler(s) from the voltage. 16 Product Information, 02/2015, A5E03775304-AC

Installing and connecting 2.3 Safety instructions for connection Rules for connecting the main lines The following examples illustrate the rules that you must observe when connecting main lines. Figure 2-4 Rules for connecting the main lines Product Information, 02/2015, A5E03775304-AC 17

Installing and connecting 2.3 Safety instructions for connection Rules Observe the following rules when connecting the main lines in hazardous area Zone 2: No. 1 Rule Disconnect FDC from the voltage when disconnecting the line (1) on AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 / AFDiS 2 Disconnect FDC 1 from the voltage when disconnecting the line (1) on AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 / AFDiS 3 Disconnect FDC 2 from the voltage when disconnecting the line (2) on AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 / AFDiS Disconnect FDC 1 and FDC 2 from the voltage when disconnecting the line (1) on AFS and AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 / AFDiS The following applies to all configurations: The lines (3) can be connected during operation (each highlighted in green in the figure) The spur lines S1 to S8 can always be connected during operation. Installing and connecting 2.5 Connecting the field bus to the active field distributor AFS 2.5 Connecting the field bus to the active field distributor AFS Introduction NOTICE Failure of field devices due to voltage dip To prevent the failure of the field devices due to a voltage dip in the event of a fault, a maximum voltage drop of 5 V between T1/T2 and Y must be assumed when using the AFS without a downstream AFD. The bus cables are guided into the enclosure by means of cable glands: The main line to the couplers using T1 and T2 The spur cables to the line using Y (all Y terminal connections are equivalent) Figure 2-10 AFS connections Center feed: Loop-through of the line If you loop-through the line on the AFS active field distributor using the cable gland Y, set the bus termination switch to OFF on both FDC 157 couplers. Terminal assignment You connect the wires of the bus cable in the active field distributor on the terminal block using screw-type terminals.
