The 4th industrial revolution is happening because multiple new technologies converge 1. Briljant factories 2. Extreme Machines 3. Energy Everywhere 4. Mapped minds 5. Super materials 6. Industrial internet 1 Internet of things A living network of machines, data, and people Increasing system intelligence through embedded software Forces shaping the Industrial Internet Intelligent 2 machines 3 Big Data Transforming massive volumes of information into intelligence 3 GESoftware.com @GESoftware #IndustrialInternet 4 Analytics Generating data-driven insights and enhancing asset performance http://gereports.eu/post/99052496229/whats-nextthe-six-technologies-that-will-shape-our HBR November 2014

Fieldlabs: Moving from the lab to the field in industry-academia collaboration Technology Readiness Levels or TRLs (wikipedia, NASA) The valley of death Start-ups, ongoing business Field labs CAMPIONE, LERENDE STEEN, PROSELO NEXT, CAMINO, SMART MARITIME MAINTENANCE, PHAEDRUS R&D projecten CAMPI, MASELMA, PROSELO, PURGATIO, TAPAS

10 fieldlabs in Smartindustry.nl, including CAMPIONE (Condition-bAsed Maintenance in the Process Industry in an Open Network Enviroment)

From corrective and scheduled to Condition- Based maintenance Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) is paradigm shift for the process industry where mainenance is mostly planned or corrective: een heuse paradigm shift. CBM has so far not taken off in the process industry mostly because of non-technical reasons (safety risks, conservatism, organisational impediments, financing, divergent incentives Less than 5% of data is being tagged and only a fraction of that is being used for CBM

The data-enrichment cycle in Condition-Based Maintenance Smart data analysis for correlations Structuring of data from multiple sources Assessment of current status asset Mode-lbased analysis of data and root causes Prediction of future development Combining with financial / business criteria Recommendations for action Planning of actions in time Real-time tagging of data Standardized training of staff Measurement of current peformance (sensors or human) Evaluation of effectiveness actions Logging of maintenance / operations actions Actions in workflow management Execution of system maintenance / operations actions Henk Akkermans, WCM/TiU 2015

Ambition The CAMPIONE Zero Surprises Fieldlab has as its radical goal to make chemical production processes 100% predictable Leading to higher productivity, availability and safety of assets against lower costs Higher output, hence lower costs per prodcut Moving from a practice of scheduled and corrective maintenance to condition-based and predictive maintenance Developing remote condition-based maintenance of production facilities into an export product

Fieldlab design Cenral physical and en virtual experimen-tation and demo-site Remote monitoring, data analyse en maintenance management services from control tower, connected to met centrale test facilities and decentral assets of participants Living labs: decentral pilots and developments

Our ambition: bridging the gap together with you www.smartindustry.nl www.wordclassmaintenance.com
