The public remains more optimistic about its eventual positive impact, but many are still waiting to see it produce the jobs that it promised. Overall ratings of the economy are just slightly better than last month, and have been slowly if incrementally edging upward over the summer. Still, more are apt to say the economy is stabilizing than improving. Meanwhile, the president s overall approval rating stands at 56%, the same as last month.
