April-August 2010 & November-January 2011 (Research assistant/fixed-term contract) Within the ANR DesPho APaDy (Description Acoustico-Phonétique de la parole dysarthrique) project Activities : Prosodic analyses on dysarthric speech (Parkinson disease) ; Literature review on dysprosody in neurological diseases. INTERESTS & RESEARCH ACTIVITIES Research interests Prosodic structure, modeling and synthesis Discourse and dialogue Speaking styles and para-linguistic communication Multimodality Speech dysfunction Cross language comparisons Phonetics and Phonology International and national collaborations 2010 Participation in the FASTNET project (Focus on Actions in Social Talk: Network-Enabling Technology; funded by the SFI - Science Foundation of Ireland) Project: The overall objective of the research is to enable technology for the processing of conversational speech. However, in addition to collection of a conversational speech corpus and the development of models and techniques for the synthesis and recognition of conversational speech mannerisms, the project will also incorporate visual aspects of human social interaction in order to produce more robust and general-purpose technology. 2010 Participation in the DesPho APaDy project (ANR project: Acoustico-Phonetic description of dysarthric speech). Project: Providing a systematic, quantified acoustic description of the speech patterns of French dysarthric speakers covering a wide range of dysarthria to better understand speech variability. 2009 Participation in the project AIX-MARSEC database. Project: Elaboration of a database for the analysis of spontaneous English speech (the prosodic factors such as stress and boundaries that determine segmental duration in British English). 2009 Participation in the project ProZed: an editor of prosody. Project: Elaboration of a tool, ProZed, enabling the resynthesis of recorded utterances with the possibility of intervention while modeling in order to the estimate the relevance of the different models for prosodic representation. 2006 Participation in the project The Nature of Prosodic Representations. Project: Elaboration of tools for the semi-automatic coding of prosodic forms and functions. 2006 Participation in the CAPES/COFECUB project Comparative Sound Organization between French and Brazilian Portuguese: An Application in Healthcare. Project: A study of speech variability through the study of speech disorders comparing two roman languages, French and Brazilian Portuguese.
