HISTORY

HISTORY 1927: Aturia starts its activity in Milan in the field of centrifugal water pumps, vacuum pumps and rotary blowers. 1946: The availability of electric power and underground water in the Milan area brings Aturia to develop the electric submersible pumpsets. Aturia patents a motor with oil bathed stator and water immerged rotor. In the following years, in order to satisfy the great water demand of Milan inhabitants, about one thousands of deep wells, all equipped with the new Aturia pumpsets, were built. 1960: The plant of Gessate /Milan enters in operation. Aturia improves the performances and the reliability of the pumpsets introducing new technologies. Aturia extends his market area from Italy to Mediterranean Countries, America, Asia and Australia. 1990:With the aim of enlarging the production range, Aturia takes over the pumps business of ROTOS and MARELLI. 2003: In order to improve its presence in the industrial application Aturia acquires "Audoli & Bertola" - Torino.

HISTORY 1919: Rotos starts the production of electric motors, monobloc, single, multistage and vertical pumps in Milan. The company develops all water applications in the field of agriculture, building and industries. 1962: Rotos joins Guinard Group and becomes the Development Center of multistage pumps for the French Group. Gaining the Guinard experience Rotos starts the production of casting steel pumps for the process industry (ISO 2858 and API 610). 1978:The company moves to the plant located in Pozzo d Adda / Milano. 1980: Rotos enters in Marelli Group. 2005: Start up of the New Plant in Taglio di Po (Rovigo) dedicated to the "Development and Production" of Magnetic Drive Seal-less Pumps.

HISTORY 1891: Marelli is founded in Sesto San Giovanni and in 1898 starts the electric motors production. 1905: Marelli starts the production of centrifugal pumps coupled to electric motors and develops different types of pumps for various application: from agriculture to navy, from tool machines to chemical industries. 1979: The monobloc pumpsets business is transferred to Ercole Marelli Componenti (EMC) and the business of pumps for large water supplies is transferred to the Engineering Company "Impianti Tecnologici Ercole Marelli" (ITEM). 1984: GIEM (Gruppo Industriale Ercole Marelli) controls EMC, ITEM, and ROTOS. The production moves gradually to the Pozzo d Adda plant. 1990: All pump activities of GIEM are transferred to. During the year all the production moves to Gessate plant.

AUDOLI & BERTOLA HISTORY 1890: Audoli & Bertola starts the production of vertical pumps for agriculture application. 1948: The company moves to the plant located in Torino (Corso Vercelli). During the following years the vertical pumps are installed in severall municipalities for water supply. Audoli & Bertola develops the supply of "turn-key" water distribution plants in Italy and in the other Mediterranean countries. 1993: The SwissGroup Rutschi "leader for canned motor pumps" acquires the company and improves the vertical pumps in order to enter into new industrial segments (steel plants, electric power production, marine) and fire-fighting systems. 2003: "" acquires Audoli & Bertola in order to improve its presence in the Industrial markets. During the year the activities moves to Gessate for vertical pumps and to San Mauro Torinese for fire fighting equipment.
