Introduction This guide is intended to assist you with enrolling your Android device into AirWatch Mobile Device Management (MDM). After successful enrollment, your device can be managed by you or your company s Helpdesk remotely. Enrollment should take approximately 15 minutes, but time may vary based on the speed of your internet connection. The following prerequisites need to be completed before beginning enrollment: Ensure you have the latest version of Android OS on your device Internet connection (cellular or wireless) A Google account is required on the device to download the AirWatch MDM agent from the Play Store [ company requirements] 2
Step 1: Download the App On your device, click on the Google Play Store app and search for AirWatch Agent. You will see the application as shown below. Select the app and choose then Accept & Download. 3
Step 2: Launch the AirWatch Application Once you have the application downloaded, you can begin enrollment. First, Open the AirWatch Agent application. 4
Step 3: Enter Your Corporate Address Once the Agent has launched, select Address to enroll using your corporate email address. After you have entered your email, click Continue. 5
Step 4: Download Service Application Next you will be prompted to install the service application for your device model. This app is required by AirWatch for MDM functionality. When prompted, select OK. From the Play Store select and Accept to download the app. 6
Step 5: Activate Service Application After the Service Application is downloaded, select Activate to allow the app to run as a device administrator. This is required for AirWatch applications. 7
Step 6: Authenticate On the next screen, you will be asked to authenticate to AirWatch with a username and password. This will be your Active Directory credentials, or other credentials provided by your company. Then select Continue. 8
Step 7: Accept Terms of Use If your company has set up a Terms of Use, you will be prompted to accept this before you can complete enrollment. After reading through the policy, select Accept at the bottom. 9
Step 8: Grant Permissions to AirWatch Now you can begin to ensure you device is compliant with your company policies. First select Get Started. On the following screen you will be prompted to activate AirWatch as a device Administrator. First select Continue and then Activate. 10
Step 9: If your device doesn t already have a passcode that is compliant with your company s policy, you will be prompted to create a passcode. Select Device Settings and then PIN or Password (depending on the level of security required). Enter and confirm your PIN. 11
Step 10: AirWatch Applications Next, you will be asked to install any applications that your company required. Select and then click Play Store by the applications you wish to install. Once you are taken to the Play Store, click and Accept to download the app. Hit the back button to go back to the AirWatch Agent. 12
Step 11*: (Native Client) [OPTIONAL] If an email profile has been configured on your device, you will be asked to set up your email during the enrollment process. Select Continue and enter your email password when prompted. To access your email, click on the native app on your device 13
Step 11*: (AirWatch Inbox) [OPTIONAL] If your company has email configured through AirWatch, you will be prompted to authenticate to your email account upon downloading the AirWatch Inbox. After you enter your email password, email will sync to your device. This sometimes takes a few minutes. 14
Step 12: Complete Enrollment After your email has been configured, hit back to navigate back to the AirWatch Agent. Select Continue on the Applications page. You can now Exit the install wizard. You will be redirected to the AirWatch Agent status screen where you can view your device information. 15
How to Access AirWatch Content Locker [OPTIONAL] End Users can access corporate documentation and resources through the AirWatch Content Locker. To access the resources, first select the Content Locker application from your device. When the app launches, enter your enrollment credentials to authenticate. If enabled, you can access corporate content repositories through the Content Locker app. 16
How to Access AirWatch Browser [OPTIONAL] To access the AirWatch Browser, select the icon from the home screen. Once the Browser launches, you can access bookmarks that have been pushed down from your company. To access bookmarks, select the menu button in the top right corner, then select Bookmarks. You can now navigate to any recommended sites. 17
