Contact PM/Mon engineer Briand Parenteau (617) 460-0128 showmx@gmail.com The Dr. John show is a blues rock style music performance, and system design should be in accordance to this style of reinforcement. The show generally averages 85-90dbA but can reach peaks far in excess of that, thus a professional sound reinforcement system capable of even coverage throughout the venue, to include front fills, delays or other such zone coverage so that there is no deviation significant (+/-3db acceptable) of SPL or frequency response from closest seat to furthest, ensuring all audience receive the same quality and level of sound while not impeding on visuals. FOH SYSTEM Speakers/processing/amplification L Acoustics, D&B Audiotechnik, JBL Vertec/VRX, Meyer. Crown, QSC, Crest, D&B power amplifiers Lake Systems, XTA, BSS or DBX Driverack digital system processors including spare/backup with remote access. (laptop, ipad, tablet or other wireless mobile remote control.) SYSTEM PROCESSORS MUST BE LOCATED AT FOH MIX, UNLOCKED AND FULLY ACCESSABLE BY ARTIST ENGINEER. SUBS MUST BE ASSIGNABLE TO AUX/MATRIX SEND AS WELL AS ALL PA ZONES INCLUDING FRONT FILLS, OUTFILLS, BALCONY FILLS, ETC FOH CONSOLE/SNAKE **NO ANALOG CONSOLES ARE ACCEPTABLE** Please put FOH mix in a logical UNOBSTRUCTED position in the audience where the engineer can hear and clearly see the stage and PA system. 1-Avid Profile, SC48, Dshow, YAMAHA CL5 or M7CL-48 All substitutions must be approved by artist production manager CONSOLE MUST BE LATEST VERSION FIRMWARE and MUST HAVE A MINIMUM of 2 LITTELITES with Q5 QUARTZ BULBS, PLEASE NO LED LIGHTING. 1-Digital or analog snake system adequate for venue, minimum 48 inputs All necessary cabling for system connections 1-Professional quality XLR I/O CD record/playback deck 2 blank CD-R s preferably Sony, with jewel cases PER SHOW. 1-20A/110v/60Hz Edison quad at FOH mix position for artist use. 1-Small table or similar height road case to the right of mixer for FOH engineers use. 1-Dedicated FOH systems tech with extensive knowledge of ALL components and their operation.

MONITOR SYSTEM **NO ANALOG CONSOLES ARE ACCEPTABLE** Monitor mix postion MUST BE stage left, and within 75 cable run of mid center stage with 100% visibility of entire stage. 1-Avid Profile, SC48, Dshow, Yamaha CL5, or M7CL-48 All substitutions must be approved by artist production manager CONSOLE MUST BE LATEST VERSION FIRMWARE and MUST HAVE A MINIMUM of 2 LITTLEITES with Q5 QUARTZ BULBS, PLEASE NO LED LIGHTING. 10-12 x 2 biamped low profile floor monitors (L Acoustics, D&B, EAW, Meyer) with all amplifiers necessary to create (8) biamped mixes on stage in addition to (1) biamped cue mix **NO 15 monitors & NO passive monitors** All power amps, processing and cabling necessary for above system 1-20A/110v/60Hz Edison quad at monitor world for artist use. 1-Small table or similar height road case to the right of mixer for MON engineers use. 1-Dedicated monitor systems tech with extensive knowledge of ALL components and their operation. Mics, stands, cabling and power -Artist carries some mic s and DI s as indicated on input list. However artist does NOT carry any cabling, and all audio cabling is the sole responsibility of the sound company to supply and maintain **Please refer to input list for specific microphone and mic stand requirements** -Stage power locations are notated on accompanying stage plot -Yellow Jackets, mats, carpet or other safe and visually pleasing means of covering ALL exposed cable runs, especially those crossing artists path. POWER MUST BE 110v/60hz Edison ONLY COMMUNICATIONS Sound and Lighting communications MUST BE on SEPARATE CHANNELS 2 channel Clearcom base station with drops at the following locations: Channel A Channel B FOH Audio (Base Station) Show Lighting Control Monitor Beach ( off stage left) House lights Off Stage Right Spotlights (if applicable) House Stage Manager LIGHTING The show does NOT carry a lighting designer and does NOT have a lighting plot. A professional lighting system WITH QUALIFIED OPERATOR is required. This system should consist of a 3-4 color wash (red/blue/amber/nc) that covers the entire stage, and a minimum of 10 specials. Please refrain from using any color of green except for set lighting, do not focus green on any artists directly. Creative and artistic yet subtle so as to not distract the artist or distract from the music. Use of cyclorama, scrims, rear up lighting, gobos, intelligent lighting etc., is highly encouraged. Spotlights are not required but would be a welcome addition, with qualified operators. Whenever possible the system should be flown to avoid the trip hazards of ground support.

BACKLINE Dr John does not travel with backline, and requires the backline listed below to be provided by purchaser at no cost to the artist. THIS BACKLINE IS EXCLUSIVE TO DR. JOHN, AND IT WILL NOT BE SHARED WITH ANY OTHER ARTISTS PRIOR TO DR JOHN S PERFORMANCE WITHOUT EXPRESSED APPROVAL OF ARTIST PRODUCTION MANAGER Piano/keys Dr. John 1-Yamaha C3, C5, C6 or C7 baby grand Piano with fully height adjustable bench.
