The show generally averages 85-90dbA but can reach peaks far in excess of that, thus a professional sound reinforcement system capable of even coverage throughout the venue, to include front fills, delays or other such zone coverage so that there is no deviation significant (+/-3db acceptable) of SPL or frequency response from closest seat to furthest, ensuring all audience receive the same quality and level of sound while not impeding on visuals. A professional lighting system WITH QUALIFIED OPERATOR is required. This system should consist of a 3-4 color wash (red/blue/amber/nc) that covers the entire stage, and a minimum of 10 specials. Please refrain from using any color of green except for set lighting, do not focus green on any artists directly. Creative and artistic yet subtle so as to not distract the artist or distract from the music. Use of cyclorama, scrims, rear up lighting, gobos, intelligent lighting etc., is highly encouraged. Spotlights are not required but would be a welcome addition, with qualified operators. Whenever possible the system should be flown to avoid the trip hazards of ground support.
BACKLINE Dr John does not travel with backline, and requires the backline listed below to be provided by purchaser at no cost to the artist. THIS BACKLINE IS EXCLUSIVE TO DR.
