ANNOUNCEMENT The French Figure Skating Union and Nice Baie des Anges Association are pleased to announce the International Cup of Nice 2016, an international competition in figure skating for Senior Ladies and Men, Junior Ladies and Men, Senior Pairs Skating and Senior Ice Dance. The international Cup of Nice, as all international ISU calendar competitions will provide athletes opportunities to improve their world standing by addition of points according to ISU rules. GENERAL REGULATIONS The competition will be conducted in accordance with ISU Regulations 2017, and all pertinent communications for figure skating and Ice Dance. All competitors must be eligible persons in accordance with ISU Rule 102 and must meet the participation, citizenship and residency requirements in ISU rule 109 and communication n 1117. All skaters who do not have nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU clearance certificate. In accordance with the request of the International Skating Union, it will be practiced, before competition, a passport control of all participants with a verification of clearance certificates validated by the ISU. PLACE AND DATES The competition will be held in Nice, from October 19 th till 23 rd, 2016. All competition events and practice sessions will take place in the rink 60 X 30 meters of the Sports Palace Jean Bouin - Esplanade de Lattre de Tassigny - 06000 NICE ENTRIES Single skating Every ISU member can enter a maximum of 6 skaters distributed in categories senior, junior, ladies and men with or without any participation in pairs skating and ice dance. Pairs Skating Every ISU member can enter pairs with or without any participation at singles and Ice dance categories. Ice Dance Every ISU members can enter dancers, with or without any participation in singles and pairs skating categories. No more than 2 couples of dancers by member.

Entries of competitors and of nominated judges must be made by national associations on the designated form. The French figure skating association reserves the right to limit the number of competitors and judges, if need be, and to enter more competitors in every category. A fee for each skater has requested of 60 euros. A fee for each pair, figure skating and Ice dance has requested of 100 euros All entries must contain: - full name of competitors / judge / team leader - dates of arrival and departure (car ; train ; flight ) Entry Fees should be paid not later than October 3rd 2016 by bank transfer (Entries are only accepted, once the Entry Fees have reached the Organizers account). Please wear the Id Card visible at all the times. ENTRIES OF JUDGES An entry of competitor(s) is not automatically followed by an entry of a judge. Participating members may be invited by the Organizing Committee to nominate one or more international or ISU judges, experimented. Judges proposed by each of the participating ISU members will be subjected to the acceptance of the French Figure Skating Association which reserves the right to limit the number of the invited judges if necessary. Any substitution or changes for any of the nominated judges need the approval of the organizers. The panel of judges in each event of the competition will consist of 7 judges of different ISU members if possible, but not less than 5 judges, drawn among all nominated judges.

Referees, Technical Controllers, Technical Specialists and DVRO will be appointed by the French Figure Skating Association only on official invitations. Organizers will provide rooms and meals for all Judges, Referees, Technical Controllers, Technical Specialists and DVRO participating, beginning with dinner on Tuesday October 18 th, 2016 until breakfast on Monday October 24 th, 2016. Should any of them arrive at the hotel before or stay longer than the period described above, their room costs and meals will be the responsibility of the individual and must be paid by themselves, except if an arrangement has been made with the organizers. Referees, TC, TS and DVRO expenses will be refunded by organizers on the site. ACCREDITATIONS Accreditations will begin at the ice rink on Tuesday October, 18 th 2016, at 16.00; and Wednesday to Friday at 9.00 a.m. MUSIC Music must be recorded on CDS or MDS and must be handed over to organizers at registration. The music must be of a good quality and labelled clearly with the name of competitors, their category and country. All music will be returned to the team leader by the end of the competition at the ice rink. COMPETITORS EXPENSES Organizers will provide meals for all competitors participating, during the competition and in accordance with flight opportunities before and after the event, if necessary. Each member invited, covers the travel and the hotel (bed and breakfast) for their own competitors. NOTA BENE Teams are requested to make all booking directly to the hotel and in order to obtain negotiated prizes, please, kindly refer to participating in Nice International Cup. Hotels only accept written reservations. Because of a significant number of congress, in our city during October, it is recommended to reserve at the earliest in the aforementioned hotels. ARRIVAL OF PARTICIPANTS The Organizing Committee provides a bus shuttle to meet the teams on arrival at the International airport of Nice. All Officials, Competitors, Team Leaders, Team Officials and Coaches taking part in the competition are requested to announce to the Organizing Committee as soon as possible the information concerning transportation and arrivals. AWARDS The three best placed competitors in each event will be awarded with cups (singles categories only). Others competitors will receive a medal. Pairs skating and Ice Dance: Medals for all competitors. JUDGES MEETINGS Initial Judges meeting will take place at the Ice rink, in the morning the day of the short program for each category. The event review meetings will take place as soon as possible after the conclusion of the competition for each category, but not later than noon the following day. INFORMATION The information boxes for each participating nation are placed in the rink, close the way in. All results, news and others information are placed there TEAM LEADER MEETING If necessary a team leaders meeting will take place at the ice rink. In the event of such a meeting, time and place will be confirmed during accreditations and by information boxes. DRAWS Draws will be held, at the Ice rink, prior to the respective short programs. It will be done by referees as per rules 430 and 510. A draw schedule will be published with the official Time schedule. No draw after short programs. Starting/order, for free programs will be according the inverse of the short programs results. LIABILITY In accordance with ISU Rule 119 the organizer accepts no liability for injury or damages incurred by competitors or officials. The organizer will provide medical emergency aid during the competition. ANTI DOPING Anti doping tests may be carried out in accordance with the valid ISU anti-doping code (ISU communication n 1193 or any further update of the communication) and French Ministry.

Short Dance and Free Dance according ISU rules 2016 / 2017 All categories in accordance with ISU rules 2016 / 2016 In every category, skaters placed 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd have to perform at the closing show. Prizes money, won in competition, are paid by organizers, only for skaters participating at the show which is a part of the competition.
