Avoid accidental electrical shock. Prior to removing or installing a radio, disconnect the positive (+) battery cable from the vehicle s battery. Then remove the negative (--) battery cable from the vehicle s battery. Do not force the Radio Removal Tool Set. Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. Store idle tools out of the reach of children and do not allow people unfamiliar with the Radio Removal Tool Set or these instructions to use the Tool Set. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. Maintain this product. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the Tool Sets operation. If damaged, have the Tool Set repaired before use. Never attempt to remove or install a radio with the vehicle s engine running. When running, the vehicle s engine produces carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, toxic fume that, when inhaled, can cause serious personal injury or death. The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator. Disconnect the vehicle s battery (negative terminal) before working on the radio. Save these instructions. SPECIFICATIONS Product Applications Tool Construction Tool Finish Designed for use with most domestic and foreign vehicles. NOTE: Radio removal will differ greatly depending on the brand or type of Radio. Therefore, the following Steps give only a general overview on how a radio is removed, using the Radio Removal Tool Set. Do not attempt to remove a radio until you read and understand the instructions as outlined in the radio and vehicle manufacturers owner manuals. Page 4

2. 3. 4. Insert the proper removal tools into the slots at both sides of the vehicle s radio. this will release the locking mechanisms. (See Figure A.) Carefully pull the radio out from the vehicle s dash. NOTE: The radio may fit tightly into the dash and may be difficult to remove. Do not use excessive force when removing the radio. Disconnect the antenna and electrical connectors from backside of radio. IMPORTANT: Before removing the electrical connectors, make sure to have your anti-theft code (if applicable) for reinstallation. FIGURE A INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING 1. 2. 3. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the Radio Removal Tool Set. Check for bent, broken, or cracked parts, and any other condition that may affect its safe operation. After Use, wipe surfaces of the tools with a clean cloth.
