Use the inventory check to make sure that your property includes everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. And with our handy checklist, you can ensure you are carrying out all the necessary cleaning and maintenance that will keep your guests happy. Inventory Check Crockery and cutlery, at least enough for the maximum number of guests Pots and pans Kitchen utensils, chopping board, cheese grater Broom Mop Vacuum cleaner Hammer, screwdrivers and screws A range of cleaning products for surfaces, glass, and toilets Toilet brushes Batteries of varying sizes for TV remotes and other appliances Remote controls for TV/air-conditioning/DVD player Spare batteries for smoke detectors Light bulbs in all the necessary sizes and wattages Duct tape
Cleaning in between rentals Living Areas Clean and vacuum/mop the floor Dust furniture, window sills, mirrors, picture frames and shelves Check for dirty linen on sofa bed Empty rubbish bins and put in a new bin liner Bedrooms Vacuum/clean the floor, making sure to clean under furniture and beds Dust furniture Change sheets and other linen Clean mirrors and windows Check drawers and cupboards for any personal items Kitchen Clean hob, oven, fridge, freezer and microwave Clean work surfaces, tables, chairs, cabinets and appliances Clean floor Sanitise worktops and sinks Check for sufficient dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, bin liners and fresh sponges Wash tea towels and replace with clean ones Empty dishwasher and put away any crockery or cutlery that has been left out Bathrooms Clean and sanitise showers, bathtubs, sinks and toilets Clean floors Clean mirrors Empty rubbish bin, and replace bin liner Polish where necessary Provide soap Wash and replace any towels and shower mats

Inside General Maintenance Check for leaky taps in kitchen and bathroom Flip mattresses Wash duvets, mattresses and pillows Check bedding and replace if necessary Check toilets for leaks and ensure they are firmly secured to the floor Check if any towels need to be replaced Replace any blown light bulbs, and provide plenty of replacements Check electrical panel for any signs of rust or water damage Check wood for rot or mildew Check for any indications of moisture or damp in attic or ceilings Replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, clocks and other appliances Check for any signs of pests Check for any expired food Re-paint any interior walls that need attention Ensure that there is an ample supply of cleaning products Provide vacuum cleaner bags and replace if necessary Inspect your fire extinguisher Outside Check window sills for leaks Check decking for loose boards Clear gutters of any leaves, and remove any other leaves or debris on the patio or around the house Check gates or fences Check exterior walls for any damage Check paint on outside walls Check pool for loose tiles and sharp edges Clean pool, remove leaves and debris, and clean filters Check all exterior doors and windows Check patio furniture is in tact Trim hedges, trees and lawn Check exterior sealants and replace where necessary
