MultiSuite for Investor Reporting Windows 7 Upgrade Beginning in June 2014, MultiSuite for Investor Reporting (MSIR) will be compatible with Windows 7. Prior to accessing MSIR via Windows 7, two sets of changes must be made to all users computers: 1) Internet Explorer settings must be updated 2) Citrix Receiver version 3.4 must be installed MSIR will work with IE versions 8.0/9.0/10.0/11.0 Internet Explorer (IE) setting updates 1. Determine if you have access to update the IE settings on your PC 2. Open IE browser 3. Go to Tools > Internet Options: IE Settings_MSIR_Windows7_V9.Docx Page 1

6. If you are NOT able to click in the URL box (step 1 in the screen shot below), STOP and contact your internal IT/Desktop Support team for assistance. They will have to make the change for you. See Page 6 for the detailed instructions for use by technical staff. 7. Instructions for IT Support team to enable IE settings If users are not able to change the IE settings on their PC, follow the instructions below to make the changes. Executing these steps will enable IT to push the changes to all users. STEP 1: Add the MSIR production url https://multifamily.freddiemac.com/multisuite-msirt to trusted sites A. Open Group Policy Management console B. Expand Computer configuration, Policies, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Internet Explorer, Internet Control Panel, Security Page C. F. At the new window, scroll to the bottom and enter the following url under Value Name: https://multifamily.freddiemac.com/multisuite-msirt G. Add the number two (2) under Value H. Click Apply and Ok I. Users should reboot their computer to enable the setting OR immediately run gpupdate /force Step 2: Adding new GPO for Automatic file download A. Download & Install Citrix Receiver version 3.4 When attempting to log into MSIR using a computer that does not have the Citrix receiver, users will see a message with instructions on how to install Citrix. Users should follow the instructions and when the installation is complete, the user must close the IE browser and reopen it to successfully log in to MSIR. 1. 5. If a user doesn t have administrative privileges to install software, the box below will open. Please enter the Username and Password with Administrative privileges. 6.
