3 1. Assigning an Outlook licence to your BT Quantum UC Client. 1. The BT Unified Communicator Quantum provides you with the ability to integrate with your Microsoft Outlook application. This will allow you to a. Click the phone numbers of your Outlook contacts and dial them without having to touch your physical phone. b. When you receive a call from a number which is saved as a contact in your Outlook contacts, you will be given an option to open the callers Outlook Contact Card before, or during the call. c. Your Outlook contact information will be syncronised to appear in the Address Book feature of BT Quantum Unified Communicator. 2. Begin by logging into the configuration interface for the BT Quantum. The configuration interface is a website which you will first need to log in to. You can access the login page by browsing to in your web browser. Screenshot of the BT Quantum Login page 3. Log into your BT Quantum using your Username and Password. The default username is user and the default password is user. After typing in your credentials click the login button, highlighted below. 4 4. You will then be presented with the BTQ Network Status page, as shown below. Screenshot of the BT Quantum Network Status page. 5. Once on the landing page, click the Extensions menu header, followed by the Extension Licences header, as highlighted below. Screenshot of the Extension Licences header.

5 6. This will bring you to a page with a list of the configured extensions on the BT Quantum, along with clarification as to whether they currently have Extension Licences assigned to them. BT Quantum Unified Communicator licences are assigned and displayed in the UC(basic,outlook,crm) column. If an extension has Not Allocated displayed, this means there are no licences assigned to that extension. Screenshot of the Extension Licences page. 7. If you have purchased licences, you will also be able to see how many you have on this page. Each licence allows you to use one instance of the BT Quantum Unified Communicator software. If you focus on the top right, this will outline how many licences you have. In this example, the BT Quantum has 10 basic, 8 Outlook, and 8 CRM licences. As the bottom row shows 0,0,0, this means the BT Quantum has currently not utilised any of the licences. Number of allocated licences.

6 8. To the far right of each extension row, there is a dropdown menu with the header, UC(basic,outlook,crm). This will allow you to define the licence that is applicable to that extension. Highlight and click the licence you would like to use. In this instance we have selected UC Outlook. Screenshot of the dropdown menu which allows you to define the licence that you wish to apply. 9. Once you have done this, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Submit button, as highlighted below. Screenshot of the Submit button at bottom of Extension Licences page. 10. You will then be presented with a pop up box asking if you would like to continue. Click the OK button if you are happy that you have allocated your licences correctly. 7 11. The BT Quantum will finalise the assignment of licences by showing the following screen. The BT Quantum will show that it has successfully assigned the licenses by refreshing the browser back to the Extension Licenses page. When completed, your counter will now be adjusted to show you that you have successfully assigned 1 Outlook licence to an extension. 8 2. Open and Configure the BT Quantum Unified Communicator Software. 1. Click the BT Unified Communicator - Quantum icon, which you will be able to find in your start menu. Below is a screenshot of the icon in your start menu as well as a screen shot of the splash screen which will appear to indicate the application is starting up. 9 2. The splash screen will minimise to indicate that the BT Quantum Unified Communicator has started successfully. If you have already configured BT Quantum Unified Communicator to work with an extension as per the BT Quantum Unified Communicator Install Guide, then you will see a green icon in the system tray. If you havn t set up an extension or do not have a valid license, it will appear as a grey icon. If this is a case, please review the BT Quantum Unified Communicator Install Guide to install and configure the software prior to performing the Outlook Upgrade. 10 4. This will pop up the BT Quantum Unified Communicator main menu page. Click the Settings button, as highlighted below. Screenshot of the Settings button. 5. You will then be presented with a list of buttons. Click the Outlook settings button, as highlighted below. Screenshot of the Outlook settings button.

11 6. You need to start by enabling the feature. Ensure the profile displays Default and then click the Enable MS Outlook integration radio button.
