OUR COURSES Speaking Strategies and General English Development In this course you develop all key language skills and elements: listening, speaking, reading, writing, pronunciations and vocabulary with a special focus on speaking skills and speaking strategies. There are programs for 4,6 or 10 weeks with 36, 72 or 108 hours of classroom instruction. There are 3 lessons of 3 hours per week with additional homework. The lessons are given from Monday Friday. (Maximum number of students per class: 8) Levels 3 levels: Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, and Upper-Intermediate. These correspond with the levels A2, B1 and B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFER) Teaching Style English Instructors work with students to build their language skills through practice in a controlled setting using interactive instructional tools such as role-plays and simulations. We also use audio and video equipment and discuss case studies.
BUSINESS ENGLISH The Business English program covers the following skills: Giving presentations, participating in meetings, negotiating agreements, explaining and defending positions and using businessvocabulary and informal expressions in work- related conversations. Students also practice important writing skills such as emails, reporting and summarizing. The Leider English Business Training consists of a 4,6 or 10-week program with 36, 72 or 108 hours of classroom instruction. There are 3 lessons of 3 hours per week with additional homework. The lessons are given from Monday Friday. A new course starts every four weeks. (Maximum number of students per class: 8)
Business Levels: 3 levels: Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, and Upper-Intermediate. These correspond with the levels A2, B1 and B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFER) Teaching Style: Business English Instructors work with students to build their business skills through practice in a controlled setting using interactive instructional tools such as role-plays and simulations. We also use audio and video equipment and discuss case studies, business news and other authentic business literature. In each course students will research, prepare and give an oral presentation. Plenty of examples and models are presented to the students to make sure that students on all levels can do this. The role-plays and simulation activities are really enjoyable and build your confidence. Note: There are tailor made programs for Companies, governments and larger or smaller groups. IELTS The IELTS exam training teaches you all the skills you need to succeed in the exam. It has skill-building exercises for listening, speaking, reading and writing and it practices test taking strategies. We use the best Cambridge Course-book with all the practice materials, practice tests and answer keys. The program includes research into real IELTS candidates exam answers and mistakes so you can avoid them. If you prepare with one of our IELTS preparation courses you have a much bigger chance of getting the score you want. There is an IELTS preparation course for 4 or 8 weeks. It has 36 or 72 contact hours with 18 or 36 hours of self-study at the school. There are 3 lessons of 3 hours per week with additional homework. The lessons are given from Monday Friday. Individual capabilities and goals are addressed through technologysupported learning in our self-study facilities. Maximum number of students per class: 8. A new course starts every four weeks.
English One-on-One Choose One-on-one lessons if you want to develop your skills in a short amount of time and benefit from lessons designed for your needs. You can choose how many lessons you would like each week. In the lessons you can focus on developing your fluency, learn special vocabulary or prepare for an examination or special purpose. One-on-One lessons can also be combined with any group program to maximize progress and experience both a tailored program and the dynamics of group lessons. Private Study Focus We can focus on specific areas related to your job, studies or for specific purposes like preparing for a job interview. Maybe you are a doctor, flight attendant or engineer and you need to learn specific English skills related to that. Or you just want to practice speaking, pronunciation or giving presentations.

OUR TRAINING FACILITIES We have two excellent training facilities in the center of Utrecht. Both are easily reachable by public transportation and are near shops, restaurants, fitness centers and other facilities you would like to use during your stay here. Our first training Location is at the Nieuwegracht 41 in Utrecht. It is located in a beautiful 17 th century building on one of the oldest canals in Utrecht and has a wonderful garden where you can sit between classes and relax. There is plenty of space to work and surf the internet. Free WIFI-internet is available. The second training location is at the Adriaen van Ostadelaan 140 in Utrecht. This is also very close to the center and only a six-minute bus-trip away from the enormous Utrecht Central Railway station. There is a library with computers, printers and scanner available where you can work on your own. There is a kitchen with free coffee, thee, cookies and other refreshments where you can sit and relax.
Accommodation We know how important your accommodation is. If you are not happy where you are living you will not be able to study properly or enjoy your stay. Therefore, we do our best to provide the most suitable accommodation for you. When you book a course you can choose how to arrange your stay in Utrecht. Private Homes Private homes are available for groups of more than four students. SHARING APARTMENTS Sharing an apartment with other students from our school. This is a good way to make new friends and practice your English, while keeping some independence. All apartment-share options have well-equipped kitchens. If you want a night out, you can eat in one of the many local cafes and restaurants. After school you can relax with a film or chat to your friends. All apartment share options have free wireless internet access and are within a reachable distance of our school.
Student Residences Student residences offer you a more independent lifestyle during your stay and the chance to meet many international students. Normally there are five or six international students living in the same residence hall. Guest Houses and Hotels For students studying on shorter courses this is often a good option. Many nice hotels and guest houses are available in Utrecht and often we can offer special negotiated rates.
National Trips Social Program You can visit the world-famous Rijksmuseum, the 19 th century windmills at Kinderdijk or the Efteling. This is a unique theme park with a fairy-tale atmosphere and a wide range of thrilling attractions.
Leider English school has ESN as its partner. (International Exchange Erasmus Student Network). There is a full program every week with cultural, social and sportive events. With your course you will get the ESN international student card with which you can enter all their activities.
Local tours during your stay may include: A climb of the historic Dom Tower where, once you have reached the top, can enjoy an excellent view of the city and its neighbouring villages A canal trip through the historic center. This is really one of the best ways to explore the city and enjoy the charm and history Utrecht has to offer. You can also rent a water bike and do this with your friends Visit Castle De Haar. It is a magical castle that is surrounded by beautifully styled gardens and landscaped parks.
