More than 6 500 contacts through the website and 480 active members, all concerned by telehealth : Practitioners Institutions Firms Associations The Goal : contributing to the development of telehealth, by INFORMING (the internet website www.portailtelesante.org, Flash News, monthly Telehealth Newsletter, thematic reports ) ORGANISING MEETINGS (the yearly Telehealth Day in multisite teleconferencing with partners in France and abroad, and four annual Thematic Meetings) CONSULTING (support to the evaluation of developing projects, appraise and launching of new applications of telemedicine)

Proposals to speed up the development and use of telehealth in France and abroad Clearly set the specific value of telehealth in each particular project, and for each party involved What can telemedecine bring about in this specific project? and what will telemedicine have to do? Work together with the associations of patients, which are more and more powerful and eager to be involved and implicated in telehealth projects Who are the patients concerned? What do they need? How telehealth can improve their living conditions? How can they be «actors» of the development of telehealth projects?
Help users to adapt to change Become a «tele-practictionner» is a process that has to be anticipated as a major part of telehealth project : time, attention, and accompaniment needed! Get into a real quality and efficiency process, for the security and comfort of the patients Realise annual guidelines of «Good Practices in Telehealth» (first one published in 2007 by CATEL)
Deal projects both with a global approach (national and international innovations and legal pattern) AND with a local approach (regional and local actors, and their particular uses and needs) For efficiency, the international, national, regional and local approaches of telehealth matters have to be coordinated Associate private and public funds to finance the projects Develop international cooperation - international in-commission and relationships - French national member of ISfTeH - Multiply international telehealth projects - Multiply occasions of international sharing of knowledge and practical experience (meetings, work sessions, common basis of information) - Get «telehealth» to be considered as a major field by european and international institutions (legal and financial aspects)
