We strive for continuous improvement, with the objective of meeting the increasing requirements of our customers for high performance and product safety. Maximum reliability through accurate calculation methods. Each time our customers have special technical demands, we involve ourselves from an early stage of their projects, for instance by verifying design and construction feasibility. Hydraulic cylinders, for instance, have to withstand high loads, while at the same time meeting highly severe dimensional tolerances. The dimensioning of components and their precise calculation is achieved through methods that have been developed inhouse over the years, thereby providing excellent operational results. Materials and commercial components are always selected by us with the purpose of achieving maximum results, while fully complying with user requirements. 06 07
High-tech production and assembly. Based on a reliable and proven technology, we distinguish ourselves through flexible design and production procedures. Our in-house manufacturing capabilities are fully integrated, making it possible for us to design and build cylinders and rotary actuators according to the requirements of international standards or client specifications. Each phase of the production involves specific controls, and every finished product is functionally tested to verify its compliance with design requirements. Machine processing as well as assembly and functional testing are realised by our specialised technicians. The latest tooling machines, welding robots, assembly and test equipment are available in-house. Third-party suppliers are carefully selected for their professional qualifications and skills, including proven experience in such special processing procedures as gear and rack cutting, heat treatment, galvanization and metal or ceramic coating. 08 09
To fulfill all project requirements, each production phase is subject to specific quality assurance procedures. Permanent quality control ensures optimal and repeatable product characteristics. AGOP maintains a high quality standard for its products, which is based on a quality control system certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001. From the engineering phase, through the purchase of raw materials, production and final testing, this system makes it possible in each phase of the manufacturing process to check each finished product and ensure its compliance. State-of-the-art testing equipment allows absolute control of all parameters during the final testing phase, including the degree of cleanliness of the testing fluid. Each tested product, whether produced in series or as an individual piece, is provided with a corresponding and agreed documentation. 10 11

Crane construction Factors such as strict environmental conditions, including severe ambient temperatures and safety levels required for these machines, influence the design and the construction of the components that are used. In the lifting sector, AGOP supplies telescopic cylinders, boom lifting, outrigger and stabiliser cylinders. The range stretches from small city cranes up to a large 9-axle crane, with capacities of up to 1,000 t and jib lengths up to 100 m, which are suitable for all kinds of applications, including railways and harbour solutions. The moving and handling of material above and below ground has always served to improve the infrastructure for human and goods transport, and for the extraction of mineral resources. Especially underground operations offer big resources, providing us with raw materials for building and also opening up new ways for transport needs, for example through tunnels. Due to the evolution of our society, there is an ongoing need for bigger and more specialised equipment and machinery. Whenever substantial power is required, hydraulics is the preferred technology. AGOP hydraulic cylinders and rotary actuators are at work in the oil and petrol sector moving all kinds of valves, enabling the lifting and laying of underwater piping and drilling for oil and gas. Some installations require a smooth and accurate transport of large loads by means of big cylinders, while at the same time smaller actuators enable the transport and processing of natural resources. The choice of the right internal cushioning system, of the most suitable hydraulic circuit as well as of the proper positioning and working parameters of the transducer is a crucial part of AGOP s co-design activities.
