SCOPE PACKAGING AND LABELING SPECIFICATIONS This procedure gives clear instructions to our suppliers with respect to labelling and packaging specifications, to facilitate a correct and more efficient receipt of their deliveries by our warehouse and production. The procedure specifies detailed requirements for Telecom Networks and Enterprise Networks and is based on the TE Corporate procedure TEC-07-5 which can be found on the supplier portal https://supplierportal.te.com/ - self-service - documents.. PROCEDURE.. GENERAL Products shall be delivered burr, oil and grease free unless specifically required. Supplier name, brand name and/or corresponding logos may not be printed on labels or boxes. TE Connectivity Telecom Networks or Enterprise Networks has the right to reject a delivery when the delivery does not meet the requirements stated in this procedure. Costs made due to rework activities with respect to packaging and/or labelling will be charged back to the supplier... PACKAGING Unless otherwise agreed or specified, the product packaging shall be in conformity with the following requirements:.. All deliveries shall be appropriately packed in order to be easy to handle by hand or by forklift truck... Different material/products are allowed on one pallet but separate packaging, identification and labelling per product is required. For primary packaging, no mix of products is allowed... The different items shall be safely packed and labelled per type of product. The packaging shall be transport-proof so that it can be utilised during the whole logistical chain of the product. (Regarding standards and procedures, you can always contact your buyer).. The item quantity per packaging unit shall always be the same for all deliveries. The item quantity per packaging unit shall be communicated before the first shipment. Further the dimensions of the item packaging shall always be the same throughout all deliveries. In case the standard quantity is not being followed, a separate label mentioning Partial Quantity will be applied on the corresponding boxes. In this case, smaller boxes are allowed...5 The maximum weight of a unit package is kg (Cu-cable excluded). TEMPLATE K00/QUA08 Page of 5
DCR /57 Revision N 0..0 K0/00..6 For palletising, if possible euro-format pallets shall be used (00 x 800 mm). In this case, only throwaway pallets or euro-pallets are allowed. A euro-pallet is obligatory for weights above 00 kg. Pallets with other dimensions have to be approved by the responsible buyer. Packages, including reels, should be stacked within the dimensions of the pallet...7 Packages should be stacked on the pallet in such a way that they will not damage other packaging and their products. For cable suppliers: extra requirements are needed. Partitions should be used to prevent nesting of reels (see Appendix 6). Artwork on the boxes for Reel in a box and Pull boxes (see Appendix 7). Pallet loading for Reel in a box and Pull boxes (see Appendix 8)...8 All wooden packaging (pallets, crates,..), shall be compliant with ISPM5, inclusively Free from Bark ISPM5 marks on at least opposite sites Except for the pallets, the use of wooden packaging materials shall be avoided...9 The standard stack height is.0 m, pallet included. For deliveries to the Berlin plant, Beeskowdamm -, a stack height of more than.00 m is not allowed. Exceptionally, the stack height can be up to.60 m, only after agreement. Pallets have to be stacked at least high, without any damage to the products and their packaging. After removing strapping or wrapping materials, pallets shall remain stable...0 Packing shall be designed according to European regulations (EN7). Packaging materials have to be marked with the appropriate recycling symbols. Symbols on synthetic packaging material shall be in conformity with DIN 60. For cardboard, preferably the RESY symbol shall be used, but other types are also allowed... When different types of packing materials are used, they shall allow easy separation. The use of free flow materials (such as sawdust, shredded paper or expanded polystyrene peanuts) shall be avoided... Only previously agreed return packaging is accepted and will be returned. Nonagreed return packaging will not be returned to the supplier. Note : The above-mentioned packaging specification is a general guideline. The number of items per partial package must be indicated.... Labels must be visible and legible when the material is palletised. Internal information doesn t belong on a label. Brand name or supplier name are not allowed.... Mandatory label information : - TE material description (Mandatory for Enterprise Networks/Optional for Telecom Networks) - TE material number - QTY / Unit of measure: (piece (PC), meter (M), litre (L), kilogram (KG)) - MADE IN ***** (mandatory for Enterprise Networks - country name written out full) - Revision (see..5) - Batch number (see..6) - MI: SAP vendor code One extra line mentioning manufacturing reference is allowed: - Manufacturing reference: supplier info (max. line)..5. The revision mentioned on the label is referring to the material revision level on the purchase order. Drawing revisions are not to be mentioned on the label...6. The batch number shall allow the supplier to trace back data, if required by TE Connectivity...6.. General - There is only one batch field ( Batch ) allowed on the label. This means that combinations of Batch, Date code and/or Lot are not according this procedure. - A batch is a unique number which makes it possible to trace back the component batches and machine settings used for this group of goods. This means that the batch shall change when a component batch or a machine setting (e.g. standstill, temperature change ) changes during the production order. - The batch number is limited to 0 characters. - When a component batch changes within a box quantity, the box can be finished with the current batch number, a new batch number shall be used for the next box. - Please try to place one batch per pallet. For cable suppliers and cable assembly suppliers: - Batch number on the S label : date code + MI (format : YYWWXXXXXX)* For cable suppliers, when after approval pallets are delivered with Mixed batches: - An extra label should be placed on the pallet containing mixed batches. Description on the label MIXED BATCHES - MIX/+MI (format: MIX/XXXXXX)* * YY - Year, WW Week i.e.: = year 0, week (XXXXXX = SAP Vendor code)..7. Prior to a first delivery, new suppliers shall present a sample of the complete label for approval to the attention of the responsible buyer. An example of the requested label layout is given in Appendix and...8. Label dimensions are preferably 07 by 90mm. For small boxes, label dimensions can be adjusted in accordance with the responsible buyer...9. Print colour is Black...0. Other specific agreements and product-specific drawings may overrule this procedure. INTERNET LABELING Internet labeling will be applied by the supplier in agreement with TE Connectivity. The supplier will access a web based application via the global supplier portal. All labels are predefined labels.... Labeling of packaging units Each delivered packaging unit will be labelled with a S label, see Appendix. In case one pallet includes more than 0 packaging units of the same item, the S labels may be collected in a document holder on the smallest side of the pallet.... Labeling of pallets Each pallet will be identified with a S label, see Appendix. - In case a packaging unit is equal to a pallet, the S label can be omitted. - In case different orders are collected on one pallet, the pallet should also be identified with a separate A paper mentioning MIXED PALLET....
