Stephanie Pitts, MSN, RN, CPN, VA-BC Clinical Specialist for AngioDynamics and a Pediatric Vascular Access Nurse at St. Joseph s Children s Hospital of Tampa The Role of Ethanol Lock Therapy in the Reduction of CLA-BSI Stephanie has worked in healthcare for 18 years. She has spent her nursing career with a focus in pediatrics. She became formally involved in vascular access when she developed the pediatric vascular access program at St. Joseph s Children s Hospital in Tampa, Florida in 2008. She remains an active clinician on this specialty team. Stephanie recently joined the AngioDynamics Clinical Specialist team full-time in a role that promotes best practice and education with innovative medical devices. She enjoys the opportunity to work both at the bedside and with the medical device industry. Stephanie serves as the current President of the Pediatric Special Interest Group of AVA. She also holds a Masters in Education from the University of Georgia. Lynn has more than 40 years of experience in infusion nursing and adult education. Her experience comes from multiple acute care settings, healthcare manufacturing, and continuing professional education. Her publications include many aspects of vascular access devices, anatomy and physiology, nursing care of all types of vascular access devices, infusion and vascular access complication management, legal and regulatory issues, and principles of adult learning.

Jack Le Donne MD, VA-BC, FACS Director of Vascular Access, Greater Baltimore Medical Center Modern Vascular Access Jack LeDonne hails from Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Fordham University and St. George s University, School of Medicine, in Grenada. Dr. LeDonne completed his surgical residency at the Wyckoff Heights Hospital, in Brooklyn, and fellowships at the Shock-Trauma Center in Baltimore and Harvard Medical School, Cambridge, Mass. He has been a member of the Department of Surgery, at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Baltimore, MD, since 1991, and was appointed Director of Vascular Access, in 2010. Dr. LeDonne has nine publications, including two videos, to his credit. He is a past president of the Association for Vascular Access.

Margy Galloway, RN, BSN, VA-BC Clinical Educator for Bard Access Systems Implementation of an Ultrasound Guided Peripheral IV Program Margy has worked as a nurse for 35 years with the majority of that time in vascular access. She began placing PICCs in 1991. In 1999 Margy started her facilities bedside PICC program. She has expanded the team s expertise with a CVC bedside placement program. She has been published in several nursing journals and lectures internationally on catheter insertion using advanced techniques as well as VAD management. Margy has been an active member of AVA since 1998 serving as a Director-at-Large and on various committees. She is the Past President of her local AVA Chapter, MOKanVAN.

Ann Zonderman, BSN, JD, CRNI R California Department of Public Health, Health Facilities Evaluator Supervisor Legal issues to consider for Vascular Access Professionals Ann Zonderman received her nursing degrees first an AAS, followed by a BSN Ann licensed in California and Florida, she holds a national IV Certification from the Infusion Nurses Society. Her nursing career includes experiences in acute hospital care, home care, home infusion, IV educator for long term and sub acute facilities, and risk management. Ann currently works for the State of California conducting surveys and investigations to ensure federal and state regulations are followed. Ann pursued a legal career and is a member of the Florida Bar, where she practiced as a medical malpractice attorney. Ann is author of numerous articles published in a number of professional journals and has served as an officer for AVA, BAVAN, and INS She has served as an expert witness for nursing and infusion related legal matters. Ann has extensive experiences in medical record review and analysis for litigation, nursing license review and has served as an expert witness for plaintiff and defense cases, Ann has also served as expert consultant for California and Florida boards of nursing, She has presented at local and nations seminars on the topics of ethics, informed consent, product liability and practical approaches to home infusion and hospital acquired blood stream infections.
