Notes about downloading a file into another format When you are exporting a file to Excel, your View Downloads window will appear a bit different from the older versions of Internet Explorer. Just like in the older versions of IE and when you open an attachment from Outlook, you will have the option to Open or Save the file you have downloaded. Internet Explorer will give the file a name comprised of the report name and a random alpha-numeric code and store a temporary copy in the default location, which is in the Downloads folder of your Favorites. If this window does not pop up automatically, chances are you have missed a step from above. Check your settings from steps 12, 16, and 23. You can also choose to click Ctrl + j keys. You may also see a yellow bar at the bottom of the screen. Click Open or Save, as desired. If one of these window does not pop up automatically, chances are you have missed a step from above. Check your settings from steps 12, 16, 23, 37. You can also choose to click Ctrl + j keys. Page 4 of 4
