Day after day... Strong interaction with faculty Strong interaction with classmates 10 The underlying educational foundation of the Monaco EMBA is that you be able to rapidly apply the theory and skills learned in the e-classroom. This applied and experiential learning approach is assured through: Case studies, the preferred learning tool in executive management education. Resolving a case study dilemma requires to solve specific, real life managerial and strategic situations by applying the appropriate theories, models and tools, exercising your analytical, critical thinking, and decisionmaking skills across a range of variables. And, given that many solutions and options are typically possible, you will need to convincingly defend your decisions and recommendations. Just as senior executives do. The Capstone Project is an integral and essential part of the learning experience. At the end of each course, you will submit a Capstone Project. The aim is to implement what has been taught in a given course to your current or previous jobs. By approaching this project much as an external consultant would, you are able to readily apply the theories, models, and case discussions to your companies situations, and make well thought through and feasible recommendations as to how the organization could improve its performance. Rigorous comments and feedback from faculty and subject matter experts further bolster your analysis and recommendations.

High-Quality Faculty At IUM, you will learn from highly-qualified professionals, using the latest technology. The IUM faculty consists of renowned international professors who are recognized experts in various industries and have excellent academic credentials. All of our instructors bring situation-specific relevance to every course, ensuring that you will be prepared for real-life challenges after you graduate. All these elements culminate to create a unique academic environment, contributing to the worldwide recognition of the International University of Monaco. An immediate impact on your career The practical oriented online classes and hands-on projects will give you the opportunity to gain immediate knowledge that you will be able to directly apply at work the following day. The Monaco EMBA residential weeks 12 The EMBA online course modules are designed to deliver a thorough yet personalized pedagogical overview of the key tools and best practices to quickly progress in one s career. However, in today s rapidly changing business milieu, leaders also need to develop and hone skills related to negotiation, communication, and emotional and cultural intelligence. And it goes without saying that networking skills and opportunities have never been more important than in the current hypercompetitive context. To address these needs, as well as allow EMBA candidates to benefit from Monaco s unique business environment, four Residential Weeks form a unique and integral part of the IUM EMBA curriculum. These weeks, have several reinforcing goals: International Challenges Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Investment Management Luxury Management & High Values Services Leadership a unique learning & networking experience

1. An opportunity to develop skills The EMBA online modules deliver a thorough knowledge of business, key tools and best practices to quickly progress in one s career. However, leaders also need to develop skills best learned in an interpersonal setting. These skills include negotiation, communication, networking, and emotional and cultural intelligence. Moreover, as these sessions are held together with the full-time residential MBA students, participants are able to learn from, share experiences, and network with an international group of ambitious young professionals they otherwise would never have met. Group work is the predominant pedagogical and assessment tool during the Residential Weeks. Students participate in interactive and face-to-face activities and exercises, where team work, negotiation, and leadership skills are jointly assessed and improved under the guidance of specific faculty and leadership and career coaches. 2. To discover the unique dynamics of Monaco as a business hub Monaco has a dynamic and international business environment. The Principality is home to thousands of firms from around the world, with a strong focus on: finance wealth management luxury sectors (in particular luxury services) entrepreneurship sustainable development impact investing and clean equity During the Residential Weeks, EMBA students will take part in roundtables and meet Monaco-based international business leaders & entrepreneurs who will share their experience insights and pieces of advice. 3. Such events have included among others: The Edge, which brought together young entrepreneurs and impact investors from around the world the Global Luxury Symposium, an international gathering of researchers and C-suite executives from the realm of luxury.

Personal Development Program For Executives Individualized Approach The Personal Development Program is an integral component of the EMBA curriculum. It is a highly individualized process, inspired by the Talent Management Programs of leading global companies. Led by a coach dedicated to our MBA and EMBA students, the Personal Development Program encompasses three cumulative phases: Assessing your leadership potential Unlocking your leadership potential Your leadership style in Action 14 Through a leadership selfassessment test, followed by a thorough individual de-briefing, you are able to: Analyze your leadership potential within your specific work environment Appreciate your strengths Understand the areas which need improvement. A first coaching session, organized on-site during one of the residential weeks, enables you to draft a concrete and doable action plan to enhance and accelerate your innate leadership capabilities. The second and third coaching sessions provide a follow through on your progress according to the specific action plans. These sessions also aim at: Assessing the gaps in the plan, and addressing them. Discussing and addressing specific managerial or governance issues that periodically occur in your work environment, and which may impact your career development and leadership progress.

Flexible Scheduling EMBA students have, a priori, their own, very specific calendars and professional timelines. The Personal Development Program has thus been designed to allow as much as possible for each candidate s own priorities and schedules. In the EMBA Personal Development Program the leadership self-assessment test, as the first on-campus coaching session, can either be scheduled during the April or October residential weeks. The subsequent second and third sessions can either be organized onsite in Monaco, or via Skype, as the candidate prefers. Experienced Executive Coaches Members of our coaching team are at your disposal to give you ongoing insights and perspectives. All have a minimum of 15 years experience working with top executives of international companies. They are familiar with the intricacies and dynamics of managing in multicultural environments, and specifically of handling cross-cultural management and communication issues. They also understand the challenges and opportunities of change management initiatives, and the criteria for its successful implementation.

Alumni Network Stay connected Get Together 16 After an intensive program, EMBA students truly get to know each other and in many cases become close, lifelong friends despite living and working around the world. To meet again and catch up, numerous alumni from all EMBA cohorts return to Monaco for the annual Alumni Get Together Weekend.

Alumni Platform With students coming from and working all over the world, IUM has created a platform dedicated to our alumni only, to allow you to fully take advantage of alumni benefits, that is to say: Find the latest business and career opportunities Keep in touch with the university and fellow students Network with alumni around the world Create new and valuable contacts Learn about and attend events.

We encourage you to discuss your financial options with those in your entourage that may provide support while you attend school, to select the financial resources that best fit your needs. Most students rely on multiple funding sources typically including: Personal resources Loans in your residential and/or native country Sponsorships External scholarships.
