TEXELIS OFFERS COMPLETE DESIGN, PRO ENGINEERING Relying upon its own engineering department, and in partnership with universities and clusters, Texelis designs innovative solutions which anticipate the expectations of vehicle manufacturers. Powerful design & simulation tools enable the development of complex systems taking into account all aspects of performance, industrialization, cost effectiveness, etc. The engineering department includes highly specialized skills in RAMS, noise and vibration, and gear calculation. One of their last achievements is a new-generation, multi purpose axle code named Tango. This totally adaptable axle can receive a wide array of options: the latest anti-lock braking system (ABS), Central tire inflation system (CTIS), wheels/axles differential lock, etc. Texelis engineering department is available to develop new concepts for customers, from basic design through to prototyping, testing, homologation, industrial production and maintenance. TESTS & VALIDATION Texelis test center includes 10 test benches dedicated to characterization and fatigue tests. The latter simulate, in a limited period of time, the complete lifecycle of a product in real operating conditions. The installed power and maximum speed of the benches allow testing any equipment, whether as part of its industrialization or as a service provision. In addition to tests and validation, Texelis offers to perform on-site application control. Vehicles are instrumented and all parameters (temperature, air flow, speed, torque, etc.) recorded and analysed with a view to validating revenue service.
DUCTION AND AFTERSALE SOLUTIONS STATE-OF-THE-ART PRODUCTION FACILITIES The way Texelis organises its production is characterized by large-scale and highly flexible manufacturing resources. In order to deliver systems that meet customer quality demands, Texelis has modernized its production plant, dividing it into two complementary sectors: Machining and Assembly. MACHINING FACILITY: Gear machining: hobbing, cutting, broaching, rolling, knurling, gear grinding and shaving. Machining axial and/or prismatic parts: turning, milling (3, 4 or 5 axes) and grinding. Related heat and thermochemical treatments: case hardening, induction hardening, phosphating, carbonitriding, and shot blasting. ASSEMBLY FACILITY: Assembling transmission components in a flexible line or dedicated module. Test bench validation of assembled driven axles. CUSTOMER SERVICE: FROM SPARE PARTS MANAGEMENT TO PRODUCT REFURBISHMENT Texelis provides its customers with comprehensive aftermarket support including the management of spare parts, to guarantee delivery on every continent. The company relies upon its global repairer network to provide integrated logistics support and maintenance services. Texelis also offers refurbishment services of products in commercial operation including diagnosis, renovation and up-grades, surface treatments and the validation of materials on test benches.
