Overview The following document outlines the System Requirements needed to install and operate the Munis Version 11.1 software. There have been many technology changes that may impact your ability to run the latest Munis Version 11.1 software suite, so please review this document carefully. In general, Tyler Technologies will support Munis running on versions of Operating Systems and Databases that are supported by their manufacturer. If a specific OS or Database version has been discontinued, installation services and support on the particular platform will be limited. Page 2 of 13

for Munis The following Operating Systems are supported for the Munis Version 11.1 Release. If there are any questions regarding your current OS version, please call OSDBA Support at 800-772-2260 as they will be able to offer contracted customers a pro-active check of your system. Tyler Technologies recommends 64-bit Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Non- Windows 2008 (all versions) Windows 2003 (all versions) *NOTE: For all new server installations of Munis 11.1, Tyler is requiring the use of SSL Certificates for all Munis application servers. A SSL certificate ensures network traffic is encrypted and secured. Not implementing a SSL certificate may allow passwords and other sensitive information to be transmitted in clear text across the network. There are a variety of options and vendors available for SSL certificate. If you need further assistance, please contact our installation coordinator (installation.coordinator@tylertech.com) to discuss which option is most suitable for your organization. For existing installations, we would strongly encourage adopting SSL certificates to encrypt communication. Supported Databases for Munis The following Databases are supported for the Munis Version 11.1 Release. If there are any questions regarding your current database version, please call OSDBA Support at 800-772-2260 as they will be able to offer contracted customers a pro-active check of your system. Tyler Technologies recommends 64-bit Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Microsoft SQL Server Versions Non-Supported Databases Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (all editions) Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (all editions) NOTE: SQL Enterprise required for Transparent Database Encryption (TDE), SQL Always On, Business Intelligence Power View (among other features) Page 3 of 13

Technical Notes for the Munis Application Database Configuration Requirements The following database settings must be configured and enabled to run the Munis Version 11.1 product: Microsoft SQL Server must have row level versioning turned on for all Munis databases Hard Drive Space Requirements Munis Version 11.1 requires at least 5+ GB of free space for the Munis Application and at least one times the size of the live database for transaction log and database growth requirements. Please contact our Support department if your server does not meet these space requirements. Active Directory Requirements Munis Version 11.1 requires user account names in Munis to match exactly with the corresponding Active Directory user account (including case). Many new web modules introduced in the last few Munis releases utilize IIS Integrated Authentication at the webserver level which requires an exact match for the end-user login. Virtualization Tyler Technologies supports both the VMWare Infrastructure virtualization product and Microsoft Hyper-V for virtualizing Windows servers. It is a requirement that a high performance Storage Area Network (SAN) or RAID 10 direct attached storage must be used when configuring a virtualized solution and the system should be configured such that virtualized guests are given dedicated memory. Most virtualized installations will require customized hardware configurations. Please contact your sales representative to be directed to the appropriate Tyler technical resource that will be able to assist in hardware selection. Tyler Technologies currently does not offer any training or installation services for the VMWare Infrastructure product or the Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization product. Page 4 of 13

All performance and benchmark testing is done with PC s that meet (or exceed) the recommended hardware configuration. **NOTE: Microsoft Windows 10 is supported with Internet Explorer 11 only. The Edge browser would be limited in support mostly to HTML5 elements (similar to the Google Chrome browser). Required PC Software / Components: Microsoft.NET Framework v3.5 SP1 (not needed with web client) Microsoft.NET Framework v4.0 (used with Tyler Cashiering v2.10) Microsoft Silverlight 5.1 (used with Tyler Content Manager and Central Applications) Java Runtime Edition (only used with Tyler Content Manager v4.4 and not needed with web client): o Version 7 (Java 8 not supported) Supported Web Browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 *recommended Chrome version 31 (auto updates enabled HTML5 only see note below) Page 5 of 13

Required PC Browser Settings 1) Application server URL s must be in the Internet Explorer local intranet zone or trusted sites zone. If using trusted sites zone, please make sure to ensure Automatic login is set. This is a requirement for using either Internet Explorer or Chrome (since Chrome looks to these settings for automatic authentication). 2) The Munis Version 11.1 application requires that Internet Explorer is not set for compatibility view. Under the cog in the upper right hand corner, choose compatibility view settings ** NOTE: if you have applications that do require Internet Explorer to be run in compatibility view, please add them separately. 3) Google Chrome is expected to remove support for the Microsoft Silverlight plug-in starting in April of 2015. This will affect Munis 11.1 applications which require Silverlight, such as Tyler Content Manager and certain Dashboard Centrals applications. More information regarding this decision by Google can be found here: http://blog.chromium.org/2014/11/the-final-countdown-for-npapi.html. For users who need to use applications currently available only in Silverlight, we recommend using Internet Explorer. Page 6 of 13

Supported Microsoft Office Versions 32 bit Microsoft Office 2013 32 bit Microsoft Office 2010 Microsoft Office 365 Note: Microsoft Office365 is a subscription based version of the Office suite with several subscription plans offering various options. A subscription including the Office desktop version is required to take advantage of the following advanced Office integration with Munis: The Munis Next Year Budget Entry (NYBE) for Excel is a Microsoft Excel add-on allowing department managers and those responsible for maintaining budgets. Using a web service to the Munis application, this add-on allows users to download, modify and upload budgetary information directly from Microsoft Excel without ever opening a Munis application screen. This add-on is only available for Microsoft Excel (2010 and higher) on Windows platforms. Microsoft Excel desktop client is required to create connections with Munis Data Cubes and is recommended to view these reports. SharePoint Excel Services, which requires Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise, can be used as an alternative to view these reports. Microsoft Word desktop client is required for Munis Mail-Merge functionality. Microsoft Excel and Word desktop clients are also recommended for Export to Excel and Export to Word functionality, however users can save these exports and open in any program compatible with these formats (e.g. Excel Online, Google Sheets). Munis can use most email services to send email notifications. Microsoft Exchange is required for the following advanced functionality: Automated scheduling in areas such as Scheduler Central for Permitting, Work Orders and Utility Service Orders as well as Work Order Facilities room reservations Automated archiving of emails initiated from the Munis system to Tyler Content Manager Appointment creation on records directly from the Munis client Tyler Dashboard web parts for Outlook Email, Outlook Calendar, Outlook Tasks and Outlook Contacts Email services included with Office365, also known as Exchange Online, is also supported. Exchange Online must be integrated with the same on premise Active Directory environment used with the Munis. SharePoint Online is not supported with the Munis solution at this time. Apple MAC Support Apple MAC machines are supported with the Tyler Dashboard application using the Microsoft Silverlight plugin. Munis Mobile System Requirements The following modules have been developed either specifically for mobile devices or have a mobile component. Please be aware that there are a variety of devices on the market and not all of them are tested on a regular basis. Tyler Technologies recommends Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Supported Databases NOTE: SharePoint Enterprise is required to use extended services such as SharePoint Excel Services. Page 9 of 13

Munis Self Service System Requirements The following Operating Systems are supported for the Munis Self Service Web Server. If there are any questions regarding your current OS version, please call OSDBA Support at 800-772-2260 as they will be able to offer contracted customers a pro-active check of your system. Tyler Technologies recommends Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 NOTE: Munis Self Service has no specific database version requirements. Munis Self Service requires Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) for the web server. Supported Web Browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer (most common versions supported by Microsoft) Chrome (most common versions supported by Google) Safari (most common versions supported by Apple) FireFox (most common supported versions) Tyler Content Manager (4.4) System Requirements The following Operating Systems and Databases are supported for the Tyler Content Manager product. If there are any questions regarding your current OS version, please call OSDBA Support at 800-772-2260 as they will be able to offer contracted customers a pro-active check of your system. Tyler Technologies recommends Windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL Server 2014. Supported Databases PC Requirements ** NOTE: A dedicated scanning machine must meet the recommended PC server specifications (or better). For additional information, please see the Munis PC requirements (page 5). Page 10 of 13

Tyler Cashiering (2.10) System Requirements The following Operating Systems and Databases are supported for the Tyler Cashiering product. If there are any questions regarding your current OS version, please call OSDBA Support at 800-772-2260 as they will be able to offer contracted customers a pro-active check of your system. PC Requirements ** NOTE: Tyler Cashiering is a PC application with a centralized SQL database. A Tyler Cashiering s PC requirements must meet (or exceed) the Recommended hardware PC specifications (see page 5). Supported Databases Tyler Incident Management (v2.4) System Requirements The following Operating Systems and Databases are supported for the Tyler Incident Management product. Supported Databases Supported Clients 32 bit - Microsoft Office 2013, or 2010 (Excel) using Windows 7/8/8.1 as the operating system ** NOTE: Tyler Cubes requires SQL Analysis Services and SQL Integration Services for cube creation. Access SQL OLAP cubes designed by Tyler using Excel. Page 12 of 13

Munis Maplink System Requirements The following Operating Systems, Databases, and GIS systems are supported for the Munis Maplink product. If there are any questions regarding your current environment version, please call OSDBA Support at 800-772- 2260 as they will be able to offer contracted customers a pro-active check of your system. Supported GIS Systems ESRI ArcGIS for Server 10.1, 10.2, and 10.3 Standard & Advanced PC Requirements ** NOTE: Munis Maplink utilizes the ESRI s Javascript API. Access to the ArcGIS JavaScript API v3.10 is required by the ArcGIS server: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jshelp/intro_accessapi.html What s Next? If your existing server meets the requirements listed above, you are ready to install Munis Version 11.1. Tyler Technologies recommends installing the software into a test environment to start.
