FOSTER CHILD ADVOCACY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES BY STATE BAR DISTRICT COMPILED BY CALIFORNIA YOUNG LAWYERS ASSOCIATION In 2008 California Young Lawyers Association (CYLA) is piloting a new program, Young Lawyers for Youth. CYLA will recruit young lawyers to provide advocacy services and assistance to foster children transitioning out of the foster care system into society. Many excellent programs were evaluated prior to selecting the two partner programs for the 2008 launch of Young Lawyers for Youth. All of the programs listed below provide assistance to young people in the foster care system and need volunteers to assist them in their efforts.
