There is need to add content to both websites and manage various requests from members trying to register online. The consultant will required to carry out the following tasks: Uploading and managing information that appears on websites. Working closely with project teams in editing, proofreading and coordinating site content style and appearance Making sure content is up to date and that it caters to the needs of the target audience Taking a lead role in maintenance, support and improvement of the site Using web content management systems to analyze website usage statistics Setting permissions for site users Carrying out quality assurance checks on website contents Promoting information about the website to target customers and partners Reporting technical problems to IT support staff Monitoring website traffic, making sure the website is working properly and responding to website feedback Ensuring website compliance with legal issues, such as copyright and data protection. Having a thorough familiarity with all publishing constraints, organizational policy, and intellectual property rights and data protection legislation. Anticipating and keeping up with necessary changes to standards in the employing organization.

Selecting and using appropriate tools and techniques to provide web interfaces to new and existing applications and advising clients/users and developers on technical matters relating to such interfaces. Performing any other duty considered as necessary, including but not limited to performing similar roles as above for the SRP intranet and internet pages. INTRODUCTION / BACKGROUND 1.1. The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) is a regional multilateral development finance institution established in 1963 with a mandate to further the economic development and social progress of African countries, individually and collectively. The Bank has approximately over 2000 staff members, who have been recruited from a wide geographic area only limited by membership in the Bank. There are currently 80 different nationalities from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas represented within the Bank making the institution multicultural in every sense of the word. The Bank has two official languages: English and French. It co-operates with a large network of international development partners. 1.2. The Corporate IT Services department (CIMM) is responsible for the provision of efficient, effective and modern IT infrastructure and application services to support optimize and transform Bank s business process for developing Africa. Under the leadership of the Bank s Information System s Director, CIMM department is mandated by the Bank to deliver the best possible IT services for Bank staff, and help achieve the results that will get the Bank closer to accomplishing its development goals. The department has five divisions: (i) Business Solutions Development, (ii) Corporate Applications Services, (iii) Network & Telecom Services, (iv) Data Centers & Field Offices Services, and (v) Client Services. 1.3. The Staff Retirement Plan (SRP or the Plan) of the African Development Bank (Bank) is a retirement scheme that was established by Resolution No. 05/89 of the Board of Governors on 30 May 1989. The Staff Retirement Plan became effective on 1st January 1990.

The Staff Retirement Plan is set up as a Defined Benefit Plan to provide the following benefits: Normal retirement pension, Early retirement pension, Disability pension, Death benefits Withdrawal benefit Residual settlement The main operational responsibilities of the Staff Retirement Plan include the following activities: Registration and record keeping of all Plan member and beneficiary details. Collection of Plan contributions from members as well as the Bank Administration of benefits payable to Plan beneficiaries. Communication of Plan benefits to members. Investment of the Funds of the Plan. Monitoring the on-going financial viability of the Plan. 2. OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT 2.1. The Consultant will work under the supervision of the Plan Administrator. 4.2. The Consultant will make use of the views and opinions of members of the Plan. 4.3. The Consultant shall provide feedback to the Plan Administrator about the websites and usage statistics. 4.4. The Consultant shall be available to the Plan as necessary, to gather relevant documents, images and videos for websites. 5. DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT 5.1. The assignment period is expected for three (03) months from the date of signing the contract. 5.2. Depending on performance and subject to agreed variations to the project scope, the terms and duration may be amended as necessary. 5.3. The commencement date is expected for 15 November 2016. 6. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED At least Master s degree in Computer Science, information technology or related fields or/and Web design, an equivalent diploma. strong knowledge of Software Development and Software Testing Tools and Standards; Minimum 3 years of experience in User Interface development, design, and design Integration using the Web Technologies such as Drupal, Html, MySQL, JavaScript and CSS.

Knowledge in Microsoft Team Foundation Tools is preferable along a good Software Testing, development or related experience. Strong computer skills and ability to use standard technology packages and Bank s standard software (word, excel, outlook, Power Point, MS Projects, etc. ); 7. LOCATION OF THE POSITION 7.1.
