BHS Concrete Mixing Plants in Containerized Design High-quality concrete and perfect mobility reliable low cost high volume
BHS mobility without any compromises Issues that matter BHS Twin-Shaft Batch Mixer The proven BHS Twin-Shaft Batch Mixer is the heart of every BHS Mixing Plant. A constantly high homogeneity of the mix is obtained after a short mixing time only - and regardless of the concrete mix formula. Its robust design ensures low operating costs and a high reliability. Several thousands BHS Mixers have been in service all around the world, doing a great job day for day. Container mobility one day only The BHS Concrete Mixing Plant is composed of several container elements. This design guarantees both, stability and mobility even in case of frequent plant relocations. The plant comes completely factory-assembled and precabled. The interfaces are provided with convenient plug connections. The whole plant is erected without the need for a special foundation. Erection or disassembly can be achieved in one day only. The maximum transportation width of the containers is not more than 3.00 m. Ideal for large-scale construction projects BHS has specialized on concrete mixing plants for large-scale construction projects, such as e.g. concrete roads, airport projects, hydro dams, large-scale harbour construction projects. With every batch, the BHS plants produce a high-quality mix according to the specified mix design. This is especially important when the concrete is discharged into open trucks, because then a badly mixed batch can no longer be corrected. You can rely on the high operational availability of the BHS mixing plants. No compromises In case of relocatable concrete mixing plants the need for mobility is often accompanied by disadvantages regarding the ease of maintenance and access in daily operation. The actual purpose of the plant, however, is to provide an affordable and reliable way to produce concrete. The BHS Container System is therefore designed for mobility without any compromises. Stationary operation The containerized BHS Concrete Mixing Plant can also be used as a stationary plant. Compared to conventional plant systems you can achieve attractive savings on investment costs. If the initially chosen site is not deemed suitable anymore after some time, any relocation can be solved easily. Flexibility The containerized BHS Concrete Mixing Plant is a flexible system despite standardization. Storage and metering of the aggregates can be customized to fit your needs. For conveying of the aggregates we offer options using an inclined belt conveyor or a skip hoist, at your choice. The control system allows incorporating any customer s requirements. The plant can also be configured for winter operation. 2

Experience and Innovation Construction Machinery since 1888 The first twin-shaft mixer was built by BHS in 1888 and the company was granted a patent for this innovation. Since then, the mixer has been continually improved and perfected. The mixing plant you can see on the picture was built by BHS in 1908. It was also mobile and equipped with a BHS Twin-Shaft Mixer. BHS Twin-Shaft Batch Mixer The energy introduced into the BHS Mixer systematically translates into a high mixing efficiency. Due to the spiralshaped arrangement of the mixing blades a circular and three-dimensional flow of the mix is obtained. After only 30 seconds 95 % homogeneity of the mix is achieved. Costs for wear, maintenance and energy consumption are lower compared to other mixing systems. ISO-Container As an option, we can offer to fit the container elements of the mixing plant inside an ISO sea container. This will significantly cut down on shipping costs. Service After the first installation of the plant an on-site training will be given to your staff. Each customer will get a detailed and comprehensive documentation. In our Sonthofen factory we have a large stock of spare parts from where we can supply at short notice. We prefer to provide plant control systems from manufacturers offering a modern online ser-vice. BHS will continue to provide technical assistance to its customers at any time, without delay and for the lifetime of your investment. 6
