The increasing integration of production industry in Europe results in an urgent need of (production) engineers as part of the key human resource oriented upon the European labour market. Apart from language skills, they need to have good knowledge of national business specifics, cultural issues, interpersonal and soft skills, etc. All those have to be recognised, respected and managed efficiently in a life-long process of learning. Such advanced and postgraduate training courses are currently only available on the business side (e.g. MBA programs) and NOT on the engineering side, even though the half-life period here is much shorter and the need for qualified engineers across Europe is more pressing than ever. The course integrates the topics technology, management and human leadership and will practically prepare the participants for a greater mobility and Europe-wide employment. Product 'Master of European Business Engineering' Title: Master of European Business Engineering Product Type: program or curricula Marketing Text: Description: Development and composition of a curriculum of an independent course for European Engineers, resulting from close collaboration between the participating universities and industry as well as the certifying bodies in order to ensure technical actuality and relevance of the course. Target group: The target group of the course are engineers with at least three years experience on the job. This certified course is particularly tailored to the needs of European producing industry, considering the intercultural aspects of the European labor market and thus allowing an advanced professional training for the targeted group on the deficit topics, which were identified and criticized by all participating countries and institutions. Area of application: Result: The result of the scheduled project is a course for advanced and postgraduate training in bypass to the job designed according to the needs of engineers from production industry. The course and the single modules will be designed integrating the needs of industry. As a result the complete course material (handbooks, manuals, etc.) will exist in a completely revised, quality checked and audited final version; it will be available electronically as well as in print version. With this course a European network is created consisting of the participating universities, which is documented through the mutual acceptance of the certificates and the joint realization at different locations.
