EDITORIAL Through this magazine we would like to inform you on the production of our clothing. It is interesting for you to know that Cora Kemperman manufactures clothing, and has been doing so since 1995, with love and respect for society and the environment. With this companywide approach of our management, we translate design fashion into affordable clothing with their own style. For us, sustainability is something that goes without saying since the start of our company and is obviously not a marketing tool. We do not want to make a profit at the cost of the environment and the people who work for us. Therefore, we strive for a pleasant and safe working environment. It is important to us that the benefits and conditions are well organised, not only for our own employees but also for the employees of our manufacturers. We are very loyal to our employees, manufacturers, contacts and our customers. This loyalty and trust is mutual, providing for a continuous and long-lasting relationship between all parties. By remaining loyal to our mission statement we hope to influence and improve the fashion industry. Together with our manufacturers, employees and customers, we wish to inspire other brands and consumers. Our aim is that in a few years everyone will only accept sustainable and honest fashion. Fashion can be green! How? This magazine takes you backstage at Cora Kemperman. We will give you an insight into our design studio, the production and finally in the selling of our clothing lines. &

A few initiatives that we have taken We manufacture high quality clothing, easy to combine and wearable for more than one season Over 20% of our total collection is made from organic cotton Approximately 60% of our clothing is manufactured in Europe, resulting in shorter travel distances and fewer CO 2 emissions Approximately 40% of our clothing is made in India where we and independent experts (SA8000 certification) regularly audit the working conditions With a percentage of our profits we fund (via our charity Foundation Amma) social developments that are situated near our Indian factories Top 3.36.31.51 29,95 Top 3.36.33.51 49,95 Pants 2.36.02.81 79,95 Jacket 6.36.21.20 129,95

Design Fashion changes each season and is inherently unsustainable, unlike style. We design collections for self-conscious women who value exclusivity and quality. These women have a personal style and they like to distinguish themselves from others. The Cora Kemperman brand has its own style and signature. Each garment is designed by Saskia Kemperman. We do not want to compromise or follow mainstream fashion. This makes it possible to maintain our own brand signature. Worldwide fashion trends, couture, but also ethnic influences (from for instance Japan and India) inspire us. Black is always the basic colour which we combine with both bright and warm Indian colours. Our garments are further characterized by asymmetry, wraparounds, the famous sleeves with thumb holes and the three ways (multiple wearing styles). Whilst designing, an important starting point for us is sustainability. Therefore we manufacture clothing that you, taking previous collections into consideration, can combine with different colours and styles. We also choose high quality materials to ensure a good fit and a perfectly finished garment. We do not follow the current trend of fast fashion. We want our clothing, manufactured with great care and love, to remain in good condition for at least three to five years, again sustainable!

Production We have worked with our manufactures for decades and have managed to build a close relationship with them. This allows us to jointly invest in the innovation of the production process. As a result the final product is beautiful clothing of high quality and sustainability. In total, only ten manufacturers produce our clothing. We prefer that our clothes are manufactured nearby. Approximately 60% of our collection is produced in Europe: 30% in Portugal, 20% in Italy and 10% in Poland. Because we do not manufacture our clothes in Asia (where most of the Western clothing is produced) there are shorter travel distances and fewer CO 2 emissions, resulting in a profit for society and the environment. Our two manufacturers in India produce the remaining part (40%) of our collections. In these factories, highly skilled employees produce wonderful clothing. To ensure good working conditions, the factories are certified with the international standard SA8000. Independent experts check if regulations have been met, such as average working hours, safe working conditions and good wages. We prefer to work with environmentally friendly materials. On average, over 20% of our collection is made from organic cotton. This means that no chemical pesticides and fertilizers are used during the cultivation. Also the remainder of the production (including the dying process of the clothes) is done without the use of harmful chemicals. After the garments are dyed, our Indian manufacturer recycles the water in an environmentally friendly way. Through a closed system, so there will be no polluted water back into the river. This is a logical, but certainly not a common process in India. This initiative has led to cooperation with neighbouring dyeing rooms.

Aid for social projects in the surroundings of our Indian factories In 1998, Cora Kemperman founded its own charity Foundation called Amma. Amma is the Indian word for mother. With this charity we want to give back to our Indian colleagues that manufacture our clothing with such care and attention. We annually donate a percentage of our profits to this charity. With this money social projects in the surrounding areas of our two factories are funded. For example, orphanages receive financial and material assistance and social awareness or independence courses (linked with issuing microcredit) are provided to extremely poor women. The Board of the Amma charity Foundation is closely and personally involved with the progress of the projects. Knitted top 4.36.13.40 44,95 T-shirt 3.36.46.50 34,95 Skirt 0.36.44.20 99,95

Sales Our sales are characterised as exclusive, inspirational and with a personal approach. The collection has its own style with multiple combination possibilities. When you visit one of our stores, the shop assistants will advise you personally. After all, clothing is all about self-expression, feeling comfortable with and being proud of what you wear. Arnhem Cora Kemperman will remain a small company, in order to maintain this personal approach. We operate with small and united teams. As a result, our employees are very loyal to the company. Our collections serve as the largest source of inspiration for our store operations. We update the collection weekly with new articles in order to surprise and inspire you continuously. To be able to optimally advise you, we inform our employees regularly about upcoming deliveries and new product information (for example fabric and washing instructions). Ghent We present our diverse styles of clothing in our stores, shop windows and via social media, the website and the online store. Our stores are equipped with (preferably) environmental friendly materials (for instance energy-efficient LED lighting). When applying for new energy contracts we will definitely deal with environmentally friendly companies. Utrecht Finally, it is our opinion that our clothing should be reasonably priced. In order that anyone who has cooperated in the process receives a fair share. For that reason we remain the strict rule to limit price promotions by having our 50% off Sale period only twice a year (at the end of the season) at a period of four to six weeks. There are no structural price promotions during the season.
