Vascular Imaging
Head to Toe Vascular Imaging MR Angiography (MRA) and MR Venography (MRV) are imaging techniques for the detailed evaluation of blood vessel abnormalities in the brain, neck, chest, abdomen and extremities to evaluate for stenosis, occlusion, or aneurysms. Compared to CT Angiography (CTA), MRA/MRV offers the benefit of no patient exposure to ionizing radiation, in addition to lower contrast reaction rates or the potential to image without contrast. Conventional bolus enhanced MRA has historically been the choice for abdominal, cardiovascular and peripheral MRA, because of the increased blood signal in these regions provided by these techniques. However, the advancement of non-contrast MRA techniques has led to increased utilization for greater patient safety and a more simplified acquisition process. To support the diverse demands of MRA imaging, processing and ease of use, Echelon Oval s capabilities include: Comprehensive acquisition capabilities that suppress background signal enabling clear high blood flow signal visualization Advancements in non-contrast MRA to provide solutions for imaging throughout the body with excellent image quality Ease of use features to simplify the acquisition process ensuring proper timing of bolus administration, table movement for peripheral imaging, extended coverage for neuro and peripheral vascular imaging Sophisticated image processing tools to suppress background tissue and provide 3D visualization of vasculature Echelon Oval provides head to toe vascular imaging for detailed assessment with ease of use features and sophisticated processing tools for even the most challenging areas.
Head to Toe Vascular Imaging Non Contrast Enhanced Imaging Time of Flight (TOF) Provides high contrast blood flow visualization by exciting unsaturated blood flowing into a region of interest for high resolution imaging of the Circle-of-Willis and carotid arteries VASC-ASL Arterial spin labeling technique that tags inflowing blood, creating bright signal to aid in the diagnosis of stenosis or occlusion of abdominal and chest arteries and veins VASC-FSE Utilizes a 3D primefse with IR pulse sequence to scan in both systole and diastole blood cycles. Uses the difference (subtraction) between the two images to depict peripheral arteries BeamSat TOF Hitachi s exclusive selective vessel saturation with a pencil beam saturation pulse for detailed assessment of the function of the Circle-of-Willis Signal Intensity Ratio (SIR) Map Provides quantitative carotid plaque characterization when used with Hitachi s RADAR-SE motion compensation acquisition Blood Sensitive Imaging (BSI) Susceptibility imaging for micro-bleeds and trauma brain assessment TOF Circle of Willis SIR Map VASC-ASL Renal MRA VASC-FSE Peripheral MRA Conventional MRA Fluoro Triggering MRA (FLUTE) Enables easy, consistent capture of the arterial phase, by monitoring the artery of interest for bolus arrival using a real time scanning mode, switching instantly to the 3D diagnostic scan Time Resolved MRA (TRAQ) 4D imaging provides insight into the dynamics of blood flow, enabling effortless depiction of arterial and venous phases, without consideration of bolus timing PEAKS, RPEAKS, and TPEAKS Three unique centric k-space ordering techniques that ensure easy, consistent capture of the critical arterial phase FLUTE Renal MRA (left image) and Carotid MRA (right image)
