Online Application Instruction Document This document is intended to provide guidance to applicants who are applying for the MSc in Healthcare Ethics and Law. It is recommended that applicants read through the entire document before attempting to complete the online application. Please select the link to the online application from the RCSI website or copy and paste the link below into your preferred browser: https://sofia.campusit.net/pls/rcsi/f?p=rcsi_oaup Screen 1: Once you have entered the online application system, you will be presented with the screen below. Select 'Postgraduate' as highlighted in Figure 1 below. Figure 1 Page 1 of 11
Screen 2: All the Postgraduate courses which have an online application form enabled will be listed on this screen. Click 'Select' next to the MSC H.ETHICS course as highlighted in Figure 2 below. Figure 2 Page 2 of 11
Screen 3: Click 'Continue' to progress. NOTE: When progressing from one screen to the next - please use the 'Continue' and 'Back' buttons on the bottom of the screen rather than using the browser buttons. Figure 3 Page 3 of 11
Screen 4: Enter your personal details; all mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*). Click 'Continue' at the bottom of the screen when all personal details are entered. Figure 4 Page 4 of 11
Screen 5: Enter your education history - all fields are mandatory. Note: Please provide details of all Third Level Education, Professional and Vocational Qualifications and training and any Registerable qualifications. If you wish to enter more than three records, click 'Add Another'. When you have entered your education history, click 'Continue'. Note: At this stage if you wish to Save and Exit from your application, you can do so by selecting 'Save & Exit'. An email will be sent to the email address you provided in your personal details, with a link back to your saved details. Figure 5 Page 5 of 11
Screen 6: Please enter details of your previous and/or current employment. Search the drop down list in the Job Description field for a role that best describes the job. If there is not a suitable choice - select Other. When you have entered your employment history, click 'Continue'. Figure 6 Page 6 of 11
Screen 7: For the MSc in Healthcare Ethics and Law there is a requirement to - a) upload a photo and b) copy of transcript(s) and c) evidence of command of English if applicable. To upload a Photo select the Browse button next to Passport Sized Photo as highlighted in Figure 7 below. Choose the appropriate Photo image from your computer. Select the Upload button to ensure the image has been uploaded. Figure 7 Page 7 of 11
MSc in Healthcare Ethics and Law To upload a transcript select the Browse button next to the File field. Choose the appropriate file of your Transcript(s) from your computer. In the Description field type the text Transcript. Select the Upload button to ensure the transcript has been uploaded. To confirm that all files have been uploaded they will appear at the bottom of the screen once uploaded under the Documents section (as shown below). All subsequent transcripts can be uploaded in the same manner. It is possible to delete the uploaded file if necessary by selecting the trash can. Select Continue when satisfied all relevant documents have been uploaded. Figure 8 Page 8 of 11
Screen 8: Please provide details on Reasons for undertaking study - (a maximum of 2000 characters can be entered). When all details are entered, click 'Continue'. Figure 9 Page 9 of 11
Screen 9: Please provide details on whether English is your first language. When complete, click 'Continue'. Figure 10 Page 10 of 11
Screen 10 This is a summary screen of the details you entered for your application - scroll through the details and check that they are correct. It is possible to scroll back and edit any data as required select the Back button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and scroll back to the relevant page if required. When satisfied that your details are correct, click the tick box in the 'Summary' section at the top of the page. To submit your application click 'Continue', (bottom right-hand corner of this screen). You will then receive an email to confirm that your application has been submitted.
