Queen s Master of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Queen s Master of Entrepreneurship & Innovation is designed to develop effective leaders in highly entrepreneurial and innovative career pursuits. You will leave the program ready to handle a range of endeavours from the formation of a start-up, to social innovation, to innovation within a corporate environment. A Pre-Experience Program You may enter the program directly after completing your undergraduate degree. While prior full-time work experience is not required, applicants with full-time work experience are welcome to apply. Personalized learning and hands-on experience The curriculum includes eight courses, two of which are major project courses. These projects present an excellent opportunity to personalize your learning experience around your aspirations and areas of interest. One of the program s major projects involves the formation and development of an actual new venture or innovation. A unique partnership Because the program is offered in partnership with Queen s Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, classes will be led by outstanding professors from both faculties, creating a learning experience that is both practical and highly relevant. Present your innovation project to a panel of investors During the program you will research and develop your innovation idea and have the opportunity to present it to a panel of venture capitalists and angel investors. 1

Corporate Innovation Developing and launching innovative ideas, products or processes within the structure of an existing corporation or organization. The curriculum includes 8 courses, one of which is the major individual project called Innovation Launch. FALL SEMESTER (SEPTEMBER DECEMBER) Creating Ventures Systems and Design Thinking Marketing and Selling the New Venture Innovation in Practice The Innovation Project This major project, spanning the entire 12 months of the program, provides the opportunity to take the concepts you have studied throughout the program and apply them to the creation of a new venture, either within an existing organization or a start-up. You will gain practical experience by integrating what you have learned thinking in cross-functional terms. You will also hone your analytical, writing and presentation skills in the creation of a business plan that identifies: a specific problem; a solution; proof of concept via market research; product development and monetization of the product or service. You will work with a Project Advisor who will provide guidance and feedback throughout the process. APPLICATION PROCESS Admission Requirements We are seeking exceptionally motivated people with a high level of creativity and strong entrepreneurial aspirations. Undergraduate Degree Successful candidates will have an undergraduate degree from an accredited university and an average of B+ or better in the final two years of their degree. Work Experience While prior full-time work experience is not required for the Queen s Master of Entrepreneurship & Innovation, applicants with full-time work experience are welcome to apply. Language Requirements Candidates whose native language is not English, and whose undergraduate university studies were taken in a language other than English must achieve a satisfactory score on one of the accepted tests of facility in English.
