Application for Prioritisation of a Plant Import Industry Proposal The following form is to be completed by the applicant and submitted to DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE for priority setting. An applicant may make a presentation to the Post Entry Plant Industry Consultative Committee (PEPICC) in support of the application. Prior to assigning a priority rating, DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE will circulate the proposal to all PEPICC members for a 60 day comment period. Note: The identity of the applicant and any commercial-in-confidence material will be deleted from the application prior to distributing to PEPICC members. In assigning priority to an import proposal, DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE considers matters relating to Australia s national interest, industry demand, potentials benefits and risks, exporting country priorities and other practical considerations. The priority rating will be considered by DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, along with available resources and expertise, in developing its work program for undertaking risk analyses.
