Featuring Upfront GUARANTEED Car Pricing! Drive Your Dream Auto Buying FAQs What is the Auto Buying Program? The Auto Buying Program is an online resource for Buyer s Edge Inc. members that provide low, upfront pricing on new cars and a selection of high quality used cars through a carefully selected network of Certified Dealers. The service is designed to let you build the car you want online, receive a guaranteed low upfront price and get connected directly with Certified Dealers who are held to high standards of customer service. The Certified Dealers are obligated to provide competitive pricing and a no-hassle purchase experience. OVERVIEW: What are the advantages of using the Auto Buying Program? Upfront Pricing on New Cars. Certified Dealers have agreed to sell their vehicles at a competitive, no-haggle price that's typically well below the MSRP, and often below the invoice price. That price is displayed when you build your desired vehicle, so you know what you would pay for that exact car, without having to negotiate with a dealership first. High Quality Used Cars. Hundreds of thousands of vehicles are offered through competitively priced Certified Dealers, and all vehicles feature additional benefits which can include free warranty coverage, money back guarantees, free Carfax reports and more. Pre-screened Dealers. The program includes more than 5,000 Certified Dealers nationwide who have been recognized for providing high customer satisfaction and have agreed to follow strict rules of conduct. Easy-to-use Tools. The program allows you to quickly configure a new vehicle with the trim, color, and options you want and then get a Price Protection Certificate, including guaranteed price quotes from dealers in your area. The program also allows you to search used inventory and narrow down your search results by several criteria, and receive a similar Price Protection Certificate.
*Please note that users searching in Texas ZIP codes will not receive an upfront price on new vehicles due to Texas state regulations preventing the publishing of dealer prices. Instead, a Target Price will be shown. The Target Price is a below-market-average price. In most cases, Certified Dealers will match or beat the Target Price. Free and Anonymous. You can use this free service as much as you want without revealing your identity to any dealers until you choose to. Your identity will be concealed from dealers, and theirs from you, when the price quote is initially given. You may then choose to send your identity to none, any or all of the dealers, and in return their identities will be revealed to you. No Obligation. Even after you get your certificate with your guaranteed price quote (or Target Price, in Texas ZIP codes), there's no obligation to buy. You receive all applicable incentives. Certified Dealers are required to pass along any and all applicable manufacturer incentives for the vehicle you're buying. This includes unadvertised manufacturer-to-dealer incentives (also known as dealer cash). How does the Drive Your Dream Auto Buying Program differ from other car-shopping Web sites? This program differs from other car-shopping sites in several ways. Traditional car buying sites exist to drive shoppers into the showroom rather than to present guaranteed upfront pricing most other sites will never present an actual price. Instead, the shopper is encouraged to negotiate a price with a dealer. The Auto Buying Program presents a real price, upfront, and allows the customer to decide when and if they want to speak with a dealership. With typical car buying sites, the customer s contact information is sold and re-sold to as many dealers as possible. Customer information provided to the Auto Buying Program is never sold to dealers or anyone else. Certified Dealers must adhere to strict guidelines of customer service, and are continually monitored to ensure they provide competitive pricing and a hassle-free purchase experience. This is not the case with traditional car buying sites. Certified Dealers set their new car prices relative to invoice (their cost to obtain the vehicle from the factory). This information is given to you on your Price Protection Certificate, and the dealer is obligated to share this information with you. The dealer is also obligated to show you the invoice of any in-stock vehicle you would like to purchase, so that you know you are paying the correct price for any vehicle in stock. This is not the case for other car buying sites. All manufacturer-to-dealer incentives (unadvertised payments that the manufacturer offers a dealer for selling certain models) are passed to the customer through the Auto Buying Program helping to lower the price. Other programs have no such guarantee.
NEW CARS: How does the program work for new cars? The Drive Your Dream Auto Buying Program lets you configure a new vehicle and get a Price Protection Certificate, including up to three guaranteed price quotes from dealers in or near any zip code you enter. The quotes are for a vehicle with the specific set of options that you choose. There are three easy steps to get a guaranteed price quote: Step 1: Select the make, model, and trim level that you want to buy. Then specify the colors and options you want. Step 2: Based on your choices, you will be presented with an upfront price from the lowest local Certified Dealer. If you decide to proceed, you will be presented with price quotes from up to three Certified Dealerships in your area. Your identity and the identity of the dealerships remains confidential at this point you have the option to register to send your contact information and vehicle preferences to any of the dealers you select. Upon registration, the dealers identities are provided to you. Step 3: Upon registration, you get a Price Protection Certificate online and via email, which includes the identities and price quotes from the dealer(s) you selected in Step 2. The Certificate also includes an explanation of pricing and fees, and the name of your specially trained Auto Buying Program representative at each dealership you chose. Please be sure to print out your Certificate and take it with you to the dealership! *Please note that users searching in Texas ZIP codes will not receive an upfront price quote due to Texas state regulations preventing the publishing of dealer prices. Instead, a Target Price will be shown. The Target Price is a below-market-average price. In most cases, Certified Dealers will match or beat the Target Price. How do I know what the price is on new cars? When you register to lock in your price, your Price Protection Certificate is displayed online and emailed to you the certificate includes pricing details on the vehicle as you configured it, the dealers contact information, and each dealer s guaranteed price relative to invoice on the make, model and trim you selected. Even if you decide to purchase the same model/trim with a different set of options, the dealer is obligated to honor that price relative to invoice on in-stock vehicles. This means the dealer cannot make additional profit on your purchase if the car you buy has a different set of options from your online configuration. To ensure you are getting the correct price, ask to see the invoice for the car you re purchasing, and simply do the math by applying that dealer s guaranteed price relative to invoice to the total invoice amount for that vehicle.
What if the dealer doesn't have the exact new vehicle I want? Given the many possible trim choices and configurations of modern cars, it is possible that some or all of the dealers who provided a price for the program will not have that exact car in stock. In this case, the dealer will present the closest available in-stock match, and honor the guaranteed price relative to invoice that is presented on your Price Protection Certificate. In some cases, the dealer may also attempt to locate an exact match to your request if the dealer incurs a cost to obtain the vehicle, that cost may be passed on to you. Will the dealer honor the upfront program price? Certified Dealers are obligated to honor the guaranteed price relative to invoice presented on your Price Protection Certificate for all in-stock vehicles of the same model and trim you requested. Does the price include all fees? The dealer prices shown in the Price Protection Certificate include all manufacturer fees, including destination charges. You are responsible for tax, title, registration, documentation, and dealer-installed accessories. Can I lease the vehicle? Yes. Your dealer price quotes are valid for vehicle leases as well as purchases and will be used in calculating the capital cost (price of the vehicle, for the purposes of the lease). Note: some manufacturer incentives may not be available with some lease programs. However, under program guidelines the dealer is required to include all eligible incentives in the price offered to you. How does the program choose the dealers that are presented to me? After configuring your car, the program presents up to three dealers in your area, including the one with the lowest Dealer Price, the dealer nearest you (sometimes the nearest dealer also offers the lowest Dealer Price), and one or more dealers in your area with a high customer satisfaction rating. Dealers are not presented based on their specific inventory. USED CARS How does the program work for used cars? The Drive Your Dream Auto Buying Program lets you search inventory listings from our Certified Dealer network. You can narrow down your search results by several different criteria including make, model, body style, mileage, year range, and more. When you click on a vehicle, you ll be presented with photos, descriptions, the VIN as well as Buy With Confidence benefits, which are available on all used vehicles.
Buy With Confidence is a combination of extra benefits available only through the Auto Buying Program. Each vehicle features a selection of these benefits, which can include free warranty coverage, a money back guarantee, guaranteed clean title, free Carfax report or all of the above! Once you have identified a vehicle you d like to pursue, simply register for your Price Protection Certificate to lock in these guarantees and receive the contact information for your specially trained representative at the dealership. Is the used car guaranteed to be in stock when I arrive at the dealership? It s always best to contact your specially trained dealer representative and confirm availability before you travel to the dealership. Inventory listings are updated daily, but in some cases a vehicle may be sold in the morning and therefore will not update until the following day. Is the used car price guaranteed? Used vehicle prices are guaranteed and you are guaranteed to pay below retail value.
