Greetings! YOU are invited to attend the Rocky Mountain Nationals to be held at the NRA Whittington Center, Raton, New Mexico which include the New Mexico State Championship on Wednesday, the Colorado State Championship on Thursday and the Charlie Pirtle Regional on Friday and Saturday. Come to the mountains and cool off with us during the hot month of July. We try to have something for everyone to enjoy and those who join us are in for a great time. We love seeing all our returning friends and are eager to welcome new ones! We would like to encourage non-commissioned civilians to join us. Civilian competitors must be NRA members in good standing and sponsored by a CLASSIFIED PPC COMPETITOR. As always, there will be Annie Oakley and Kit Carson matches on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for those spouses, parents, friends, and children 13 and over who are not participating in the other events. The younger kids (12 and under) are invited to participate in the Border Patrol s National BB Gun Match. There is no entry fee for this event that has become one of the most popular activities held at the Rocky Mountain Nationals. Announcements will be made as to times and other information. The match director reserves the right to make changes to this schedule at any time during the Rocky Mountain Nationals if needed. The stat office will be open at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday through Friday to accept late entries for the rest of the matches. Entries can also be made before the matches start each day.

2016 SCHEDULE OF FEES RANGE FEES--There is a daily range fee of $15.00 that will be paid to the Whittington Center by the match. On Tuesday, range fees will be collected by the stat office from the competitors who practice that day. Each competitor regardless of whether or not he/she is a member must pay the Whittington Center match fee of $15.00 per day during the scheduled Rocky Mountain Nationals match days. Questions can be directed to the Whittington Center Office staff or the STAT OFFICE. Memberships (lifetime or annual) can be purchased at the Whittington Center Office. JULY 13-16, 2016 NRA WHITTINGTON CENTER RATON, NM GENERAL MATCH INFORMATION SQUADDING: All individual matches and team matches will be squadded by the STAT OFFICE. TEAM MATCHES: The team matches in the New Mexico State Championship (Wednesday) and the Charlie Pirtle Regional (Friday) must be fired with semi-auto pistols. The team matches in the Colorado State Championship (Thursday) and the Charlie Pirtle Regional (Saturday) must be fired with revolvers. All team scores will be eligible for national records. Teams will consist of 2 and 4 firing members as per NRA Rule 2.14. A competitor may fire on both a 2-person and a 4-person team but cannot fire on two different 4-person teams or 2-person teams. An agency may enter as many 2-person teams as it wishes, however, each 2-person team may fire only once. Teams will be classified per NRA rules for the Regional semi-auto and revolver matches. Teams will be categorized into two groups--group A consisting of High Master and Master teams and group B consisting of Expert, Sharpshooter, Marksman, and Classified teams in the New Mexico and Colorado State Championships. CHALLENGES AND PROTESTS: All challenges and protests must be made within 1 hour of posting of scores. AMMUNITION: NRA rules apply for ammunition required for the Distinguished Matches. NRA rules also apply for the ammunition required for national records to count in the Service Semi-auto, Undercover (Off Duty), and Service Revolver matches. CLASSIFICATIONS: Classification of competitors will be as per NRA rules governing both revolvers and semi-autos. A competitor will be reclassified if he/she fires any two 1500 scores above his/her current classification during the Rocky Mountain Nationals. CIVILIAN COMPETITORS: Any non-commissioned NRA member over the age of 18 is eligible to compete in this class provided he/she can do so safely under the same conditions as the classified police competitors. US competitors must be sponsored by a CLASSIFIED PPC COMPETITOR. The match director reserves the right to disqualify any civilian competitor if he/she feels this competitor cannot safely compete under the same conditions as the classified police competitors. The civilian competitors will compete against each other for awards and if there is a sufficient number in this group they will be broken down into subgroups. This group will be squadded separately from the classified police competitors. The scores fired will not be reported to the NRA and no NRA Police Pistol Combat Classification Cards will be issued as a result of these scores fired.

JULY 13-16, 2016 NRA WHITTINGTON CENTER RATON, NM INDIVIDUAL MATCH INFORMATION FIRING OF MATCHES: All matches will be fired California Style with matches 1-5 being fired without leaving the firing line. Scoring will be done off the line. COURSES OF FIRE: All courses of fire except the Annie Oakley Match can be found in the NRA Police Pistol Combat Rule Book. A copy of any course of fire will be provided by the STAT OFFICE upon request from any competitor. The course of fire will be given on the line. NATIONAL RECORDS: National records are now being maintained by the NRA for all matches fired by classified police competitors. In order for a score to be eligible for a national record, all NRA requirements for ammunition and equipment must be met. FIREARMS AND EQUIPMENT: Decision of NRA referee will be final as to eligibility of any firearm, holster, grips, magazines, ammunition and/or equipment. SERVICE SEMI-AUTO MATCH: Eligible firearm will be as per NRA Rule 3.7: it should be remembered that this is meant to be a totally stock police duty firearm such as would be issued to a new recruit in the academy and NOT A COMPETITION FIREARM. Course of fire is the 48 round course given on page 17 of the NRA PPC Rule Book. National records are recognized for this match. UNDERCOVER MATCH: Eligible firearm and ammunition are required as per NRA Rules for national records to be recognized. Competition leather or off duty type directional draw holsters only (no cross-draw, ankle, inside waistband, or shoulder holsters; no holsters requiring insertion of finger into trigger guard for release will be allowed). Course of fire is the 48 round course given on page 17 of the NRA PPC Rule Book. SERVICE REVOLVER MATCH: Eligible firearm and ammunition required will be as per NRA Rule 3.5. Ammunition must be standard 158-grain lead,.38 special service loads for a national record to be recognized. Course of fire is the 48 round course given on page 16 of the NRA PPC Rule Book. DISTINGUISHED MATCHES: Eligible firearms and ammunition required will be as per NRA Rules 3.1 (revolver) and 3.4 (semi-auto). Equipment and ammunition are subject to inspection by NRA referee. Triggers will be weighed. Course of fire is the 60 round national police course. ANNIE OAKLEY/KIT CARSON MATCHES: Competitor eligibility and classification is subject to the discretion of the match director. Shooters who have ever held NRA classifications or who are commissioned officers are not eligible. Each shooter must have a competitor coach. Shooters competing in the Civilian Class will not be eligible to compete in this match. Each shooter will draw from his/her own holster and may be assisted in loading by the coach. Any revolver (NO SEMI-AUTOS) eligible for any of the individual or service matches may be used. Competitors will be divided into two groups, Those who are under 17 years of age and those who are 17 years of age and over. The match director reserves the right to place any competitor into a different group.

JULY 13-16, 2016 NRA WHITTINGTON CENTER RATON, NEW MEXICO SCHEDULE OF AWARDS GUNS, Merchandise or cash award will be presented to the OVERALL AGGREGATE winner in each classification including the Civilian Class, High Retired, and High Woman. To be eligible for this award, a competitor must fire in all four 1500's, the Service Semi-Auto Match, the Undercover Match, the Service Revolver Match and both Distinguished Matches. The total aggregate for all the matches will determine the winner. Competitors will be classified based on their combined classification in both the revolver and semi-automatic classifications. Merchandise or cash awards will be given in the service gun matches (Service Revolver, Undercover Revolver, Service Semi-Auto, Distinguished Revolver, and Distinguished Semi- Auto). Team awards will be given through second place in each class (regional) or category (other matches) of competition. Merchandise or cash awards will be given in the Annie Oakley and Kit Carson matches. Competitors in the USBP BB gun match will be broken down into age groups again as last year and all of the kids will go home with great awards.
