2 TEXAS STATE RIFLE ASSOCIATION 2015 SERVICE RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIP Sponsored by the Texas State Rifle Association (TSRA) as the official State Service Rifle Championship. It is registered with the National Rifle Association and the Civilian Marksmanship Program and will be conducted at Bayou Rifles Gun Club- Manvel, Texas. From Houston take State Hwy 288 south to Juliff Manvel County road 57 T/R and follow approx. 2 miles to range on the right. ELIGIBILITY: current TSRA membership is required to enter this match. A TSRA membership is requested. The TSRA headquarters prior to the match will confirm TSRA membership. Late entries will be accepted up to range capacity with an additional fee. You are not registered until your money is received. TEAM MATCH REGISTRATION: Entry closes at 0730 Friday, June 19, 2015, at the 200 yd. line. Pick-up teams are permitted. All members of a team must be the same category (Service or Civilian) to compete for awards. Junior team firing members must all be juniors to compete for High Junior Team award. Competitors firing only in the team match will be assessed a $5.50 NRA registration fee in addition to the team entry fee and must submit a completed SR-1 card to the entry office. DO NOT PRE-PAY TEAM ENTRY FEES. RANGE CAPACITY AND LIMITATIONS: Individual entries will be limited to 100 competitors. Team entries will be limited to twenty (22) 4-man teams. ENTRY FEES: Make all checks to: Karl Schultz TSRA SRC 2015 Friday, June 19, Match 8, 4 Man Team Match $50/Team Saturday, June 20, Matches 1-6, Individual Championship $50 (Add $15 late fee after 06/17/13) Sunday, June 21, Match 7, CMP Excellence in Competition Rifle Match (Individual) $25 The $50 Individual Championship entry fee includes the $5.50 NRA registration fee. Entry fees for Juniors (those who turn 20 in 2015 or younger) will be a reduced fee (NOT for the LEG match). REFUNDS: Only Half of the entry fee will be refunded if notification is made by June 1, No-shows will not be refunded. Competitors ejected for deliberate safety or rules violations will not receive a refund. PIT SERVICE: Each competitor will be required to serve in the pits or provide a qualified and able hired puller to serve in their place. Handicapped competitors who are not physically able to pull targets and/or travel to the pits should notify the Match Director at the time of entry so that a puller can be provided for them, if possible. SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING HIRED PIT PULLERS: Don t expect any paid pullers. SPECIAL NOTE ON SQUADDING: If you want to be squadded with one or more shooters, you must register together. Squadding will NOT be changed the day of the match. RULES: Current year 2015 NRA /CMP High Power Rifle Rules as they apply to Registered matches (including sections pertaining to squadding and order of completion of matches) will prevail. Pair firing during slow fire stages of the Team Match is optional. NRA classifications (including temporary score book classifications) will be used for all matches except the CMP Service Rifle Match. All competitors are responsible for being familiar with current published NRA and CMP High Power Rifle rules.

3 EQUIPMENT AND AMMUNITION: NRA Service Rifle rules (3.1., 3.1.1, and 3.1.2) will apply. Competitors will furnish their own ammunition. Use of incendiary or tracer ammunition is not allowed. Use of.223 cal., 55-grain projectiles beyond the 300 yards will not be permitted. Additional Department of Defense regulations (included in AR /OPNAVINST C/AFR 50-17/MCO P A) regarding ammunition and equipment and its use will apply during the CMP Match. Triggers may be weighed and certified prior to the CMP Match. Triggers may be spot-weighed for rule compliance and safety reasons during any match. EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR: Use of Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) is mandatory in all rifles at all times, except for rifles being used by competitors on the firing line during preparation period and actual firing. Indicators must be re-inserted and magazines removed before a competitor may remove a rifle from the firing line (NRA High Power Rifle rule 3.21). COACHING: Coaching will be permitted during the Team Match only. SCORING: Competitors will score during individual and team matches. No competitor will score or pull targets for a member of his own team. Scorers failing to turn in scorecards may be disqualified. Changes or erasures on scorecards that have not been initialed by the scorekeeper may cause disqualification of an individual competitor or team. AWARD SCHEDULE: Category/Class with <5 competitors will be combined except the HM class. MATCHES 1-5: Trophy plaques will be awarded to overall match winners. Class and category awards will be awarded. Civilian and Service categories will be used. One award per 5 entries in each class/category, up to a total of 2 places. If there are less than five entries in a class/category, that class/category will be combined upwards. All Unclassified competitors will fire in a separate class. The aggregate score (Match 5) will determine the State Champion. Trophy plaques will be presented to the high Civilian, Service, Senior, Woman and Junior. The top scoring 20 Texas residents (civilian and service -including Service personnel stationed out-of-state) will be designated the Governor's Twenty. MATCH 6: The Team Support Match aggregate is the rapid fire agg. score of Matches 2 and 3. MATCH 7 (CMP Service Rifle Match): Agg. scores from Match 7 will be forwarded to the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), which will determine and present all awards. Score cards must be turned in to the Stat office for forwarding to the CMP whether the competitor completes the match or not. ******* Special Note: You must execute a notarized liability release, if you have not done so previously, in order to fire in Match 7. If you have fired in a LEG match in the last 5 years, you should have already done one. You can request one from Match Director or download from the Internet at Click on forms MATCH 8 (4 man Team): Awards will be awarded to the overall winning team and the next two finishers. Team members of the highest Junior team will be awarded Trophy plaques. CHALLENGES/PROTESTS: A fee of $2 will be charged for each challenge, which will be returned if the challenge is met. All competitors are advised to check their posted scores at the stat office soon after the completion of a match. The challenge period will be 1 hour after the completion of each match. All awards and scores are tentative until publication of the official match bulletin. A jury will resolve protests. Course of Fire: 50 shot Match Course for each team member - with SIGHTING SHOTS 200 yd slow fire offhand - 10 shots / team member, 23-minute block time / pair of team members, infiltration or pair firing allowed. 200 yd rapid fire sitting, 10-shot string, 60 seconds per string. 300 yd rapid fire prone - 10 shots rapid fire for record, 70 seconds per string. 600 yd slow fire prone - 10 shots / team member, 23-minute block time / pair of team members, infiltration or pair firing allowed. SATURDAY, June 20, MATCHES Individual Championship Squadding available at Stat. Office TSRA Service Rifle competitors' annual meeting Pits seal Colors Firing commences. Course of Fire: 80-shot Regional Match Course Match yd slow fires offhand, 2 sighting shots + 20 shots for record, 22 minutes. Match yd rapid fire sitting, 2 sighting shots in 2 minutes + two 10-shot strings, 60 seconds per string. Match yd rapid fire prone, 2 sighting shots in 2 minutes + two 10-shot strings, 70 seconds per string. Match yd slow fire prone, 2 sighting shots + 20 shots for record, 22 minutes.

4 SUNDAY, June 21, MATCH 7 - CMP Service Rifle Match (EIC) Triggers may be weighed, squadding is on the firing line Pits seal Colors Firing commences. Course of Fire: 50-shot National Match Course - NO SIGHTING SHOTS 200 yd slow fire offhand, 10 shots for record, 10 minutes 200 yd rapid fire sitting, 10 shots for record, 60 seconds 300 yd rapid fire prone, 10 shots for record, 70 seconds 600 yd slow fire prone, 20 shots for record, 20 minutes All scorecards must be completed and turned in! Awards ceremony for Matches will be as soon as practical after conclusion of firing, compilation of scores, and policing of firing lines and pits. ANNUAL MEETING: The annual meeting of the High power Service Rifle Division of the TSRA will be held at 0730 on Saturday, June 20, 2015, prior to Match 1 at the 200 yard line. All TSRA members are invited to attend. This is for the nominations of two TSRA director positions. TEXAS STATE RIFLE ASSOCIATION SERVICE RIFLE TEAM: Each year, TSRA selects and sponsors the TSRA State Service Rifle Team to participate in the CMP National Trophy Team Match and Infantry Trophy Team Match during the National Matches held annually at Camp Perry, Ohio. Scores fired in this match, together with scores from other matches forwarded to the team captain, will be considered for team selection. Prospective team members may also be required to participate in team tryout/practice sessions. All Civilian Texas competitors are invited to submit scores.
