Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche Department of Poli cal Science Since its founding in 1996, the Department of Poli cal Science has a strong voca on for interna onal and interdisciplinary studies. Our aim is to provide students with concrete employment opportuni es, both in na onal and local public administra ons, in the business world, and par cularly in ins tu ons, organiza ons and companies opera ng abroad, primarily within the European Union. This perspec ve follows the tradi- on of diploma c studies, but with a renewed a en on to all those work environments that have affinity with interna onal rela ons. The interna onal dimension is, in fact, a very specific feature of our Department and our research; every academic year foreign scholars from all over the world visit our ins tu on to take part in mee ngs or conferences and to give lessons or seminars. We are also entering into new agreements with : - University of Chejabinsk (Russia) - Lomonosov Moscow State University ( Journalism and Global Studies) - Saint Petersburg State University (Faculty of History, Arts and Philosophy). Also, our goals as Interna onal Rela ons Service is to directly involve students - both incoming and outgoing - before and a er their mobility experiences. With this aim in mind we created two blogs: one official (Ufficio Erasmus Dipar mento di Scienze Poli che RomaTre), and one unofficial (Erasmus Point of View). The first one is conceived as a further mean for spreading in the most effec vely way official and bureaucra c informa on. The second one is a web space where students can share their experiences abroad, can give their sugges ons, or get in touch with other outgoing students. Besides these two web spaces, we value direct contact with students too, through organizing welcome mee ngs for both incoming and outgoing students. Pagina 4
