1 High North Centre for Business and Governance Arctic Dialogue Series Arctic Dialogue 2013 Arctic in a Global Perspective Conference Program Bodø March 19-21, 2013 Pan-Arctic Dialogue Improving Communication & Understanding among Key Stakeholders University of Nordland, Bodø Graduate School of Business High North Centre for Business and Governance Overview The 7 th Annual Arctic Dialogue hosted by the High North Center for Business and Governance, Bodø Graduate school of Business (HHB) at the University of Nordland (UiN) in Bodø, Norway; in cooperation with the International Institute of Energy Politics and Diplomacy (MIEP) at MGIMO University in Moscow, Russia, is a unique forum dedicated to issues of resource development in the High North. The Dialogue brings together major Arctic players concerned with Arctic development including Arctic heads of state, major industry leaders, fishing communities, academia, local indigenous and non-indigenous Arctic communities, local politicians and other important stakeholders. The Dialogue fosters discussion to create and increase information sharing between stakeholders in the Arctic and put this information into practice. Arctic Dialogue 2013 Arctic in a Global Perspective The theme of the 2013 Arctic Dialogue is Arctic in a Global Perspective. Recent years have seen a number of high-profile announcements on partnerships being formed among governments, academia and industry that recognize the unique capacities, knowledge, technologies and skill-sets needed for sustainable development in the Arctic.
