Faculty of Robotics and Complex Automation (RK) The relatively new Faculty of Robotics and Complex Automation was founded in 1987. The faculty combines quite different departments from mechanical engineering RK4 to informational RK6, from fundamental RK5 to mechatronic RK9 and RK10. uch a combination, which seems unusual on the face of it, is related to the participation of the faculty in the activities within the framework of the focus areas of science and technology, determined by the RF Government. At present, one cannot imagine design processes (engineering, multidimensional engineering analysis, technological preproduction) of any high tech product without application of a whole complex of automation software, i.e. special software, taking the engineer to another level of quality to improve project solutions. Intellectualization of engineering activity, production facilities, auxiliary equipment and technological processes not only facilitates human labor but also provides a new level of quality and speed of product design. In addition to automation of various dimensions of design and production processes, the faculty purports to create unified information environment for all technical and nontechnical specialists engaged in the development of a new product. The specialists, trained in the RK faculty, act as integrating factors. They are in demand in any field of science and technology. According to the employment statistics, the graduates work in national enterprises as well as in private companies (including branch offices of international corporations) in the realm of their major as well as in the related fields. tudents of the faculty acquire fundamental knowledge in mathematics and engineering, advanced skills in the field of modern computer technologies, mathematical modeling, and design, knowledge in the field of modern technologies and materials, circuit technology, and understand the complex of tasks of end-to-end automation of product lifecycle. The applicants are admitted to the first year of pecialist degree programs (RK4 «Hoisting and Transport ystems») and achelor programs (RK5 «Applied echanics», RK6 «Computer-Aided Design ystems», RK9 «Computer-Aided anufacturing ystems», and RK10 «Robotic ystems»).
