Getting Started Connect to Your iphone/ipad/ipod Touch Slide to Lightning Connector Download the iconnect+ App 1. Plug the iconnect into your ios device, an App Not Installed dialog box will appear. Select App Store to enter the download screen.
2. Download PQI iconnect + * If you pressed Ignore or deleted the app by accident, go to the App Store and search for PQI iconnect+ to download the app manually. * After inserting the iconnect, if you cannot find the PQI iconnect+ app in the App Store after seeing the "App Not Installed dialog box, please go to Settings!General!About! iconnect!"scan for App" to download the App.

How To Use Backup photos/videos from your ios device to the iconnect 1. Insert the iconnect to your ios device, a dialog box will appear informing you that iconnect+ would like to communicate with the PQI iconnect. Press "Allow" to enter the PQI iconnect+ App, or "Ignore" to remain on the home screen. 2. Launch the iconnect+ App, choose External Storage to access iconnect's storage.
3. Tap on the + at the lower- right corner! From Library! Camera Roll Guide e 4. Select the photo/video file(s) you wish to back up from your camera roll, then tap Done in the upper right corner. The selected photo/video files will be backed up on the iconnect. P * You can tap the "+" on the lower- right corner and choose the New Folder" option. Enter a folder name then follow the procedures listed above to save the photo/video files to the specific folder. * At this time, the original photo/video files are still saved on the ios device. If you wish to free up the space on your ios device, please delete the files manually from the Photos App.
Send photos/videos from the iconnect to your ios device 1. Enter the PQI iconnect+ App and choose External Storage. Tap Edit in the upper right corner! Select the photo or video file(s) you wish to send! press on the Copy or Move button below. 2. Select ios device (iphone or ipad)! Tap Copy here to start copying the selected photo or video file(s) to your ios device.
3. When copying is complete, view the copied photo/video file(s) on your ios device. * The Copy function allows selected file(s) to be copied to another device, the source file(s) will remain on the original device. * The Move function allows you to move the file(s) to another device, but the moved file(s) will no longer be available on the original device.
Setting a password for files stored on the iconnect 1. Launch PQI iconnect+ App. Select External Storage, then tap Edit in the upper- right corner! Select the file you wish to password protect! Tap the Lock option to enter the lock screen. 2. Enter a desired password! Press OK to lock the file. * You can set a password for one or more files at the same time. * The locked file will also be compressed to save storage space on the iconnect.
Removing the password from protected files on the iconnect 1. Start the PQI iconnect+ App. Choose External Storage, tap the Edit option in the upper right corner! Select the file you wish to remove the password from! Tap Unlock!Enter the correct password to unlock the file. * You can remove a password for one or more files at the same time.
Preview a password protected file on the iconnect 1. Select External Storage. Tap on a password- protected file! Enter your password! Press OK to preview the file. * This function is for preview purposes only. The file is still password protected.
Compress files stored on the iconnect 1. Launch the PQI iconnect+ App, select External Storage, then select Edit in the upper right corner! Select the file(s) you wish to compress! Tap the Zip button, a dialog will appear requesting you to enter a name for the file folder. 2. Enter a name for the folder! Select Zip to complete file compression. * You can compress one or more files simultaneously. * The Zip and Lock functionality provides the ability to compress and lock one or more files simultaneously.
Extract the compressed files stored on the iconnect 1. Start the PQI iconnect+ App, choose External Storage and select the file(s) you wish to extract. The extraction process will begin automatically. 2. Tap on the file folder to preview photo files stored within. * When a single compressed file is extracted, its icon will indicate a single file. When multiple compressed files are extracted, they will be displayed as a file folder.
Backup Contacts 1. Enter the PQI iconnect+ App, select Contacts Backup! Backup. Your contacts will be exported to a file. 2. The file containing your contacts will be saved on both the iconnect storage and the ios device storage. * If you see Unable to access contacts after you select the Backup option, please go to ios Settings! Privacy! Contacts, and allow PQI iconnect to access your contact information in order to backup the data.
Restore Contacts 1. Launch the PQI iconnect+ App, select Contacts Restore! Select the backup file containing your contact information to restore the data back to your ios Contacts.
Using iconnect on your computer to browse and backup data on an ios device 1. Plug the iconnect into a USB port on your PC or Mac and use it as a portable disc drive. 2. Open iconnect to: " Browse backup files from your ios devices " Transfer backup files from your ios devices to your computer " Store files from your computer to the iconnect
Transfer files from your computer to your ios device through iconnect 1. Insert iconnect into a USB port on a PC or Mac, drag the file(s) you wish to transfer to the iconnect. 2. Unplug the iconnect and connect it to your ios device. Launch the PQI iconnect+ App, select External Storage! Tap on Edit!Select files(s) to transfer! Press Copy or Move. 3. Select "ios device" (iphone or ipad)! Tap Copy here, the selected file(s) will be copied to your ios device.
4. Select < at the lower- left corner to return to the previous screen! Select ios device, open the ios storage to verify if the selected file(s) is saved. * The "ios device" (iphone/ipad) displayed in the iconnect+ App indicates an exclusive storage space on the idevice. When you copy files from iconnect to this space, you can browse or play these files without inserting the iconnect.
Play media files stored on the iconnect directly 1. Launch the PQI iconnect+ App, select External Storage! Tap on the music file to play 2. Tap on a video file to start video playback instantly.
FAQ Q:Can I reformat the iconnect? A:Yes, insert iconnect s USB connector into a PC s USB port to reformat. Please notice that iconnect only supports the FAT32 file system. During the formatting process, select FAT32 in order for the iconnect+ app to read and write data properly when connected to idevice. If another file system is selected, such as NTFS, an error message will appear "initialization error, please contact the store or distributor." If this error occurs, please reformat the iconnect with FAT32 to resolve the issue. If there is no FAT32 option on Windows OS, please download this software: 64 bits: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/guiformat- x64.exe 32 bits: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/guiformat.exe Operate it to reformat the iconnect with FAT32. Q:Why can't I play the movies I have purchased from itunes by iconnect? A:Due to the ios8 restrictions, the iconnect is banned from playing DRM- protected movies purchased from itunes or Amazon. Q:Why can't I copy the music from my iphone device? A:Although Apple doesn't allow copying and transferring itunes content directly to an iphone, most of the songs can still be moved and saved on iconnect, and be played iphone, ipad or on Mac or PC. New songs on itunes are all playable. A few Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions are only available on itunes. Q:When I select file and folder to lock at the same time, the gray button of locking function cannot be pressed? A:The locking function on iconnect App is for single file, so it cannot work on folder. The file and folder are selected, and the locking function turning into gray cannot be pressed.
