Partner Selection Process Experience in RD Implementations Understands nuances that exist in different SAP Versions Able to present the best practices Create Prototypes for different requirements and help us refine requirements Have a clear plan for end-to-end implementation and possess essential skillsets for delivery Partner s relationship with SAP in RD area 10

Overall Project Schedule 14
Overview of Project Plan - RD POC & Initial Study Blueprinting Build Test & Train Data Migration Mock Cutover & Validation Final Prep / Cutover Data Migration GoLive and Support 15
Data Migration RMWB - RD "/PLMI/RCP_MIGRATION" data migration tool was developed by SAP, and released with EhP6, circa 2011. The above mentioned tool was enhanced by partner: - Bring over all historical versions of the RM recipes - Map appropriate Authorization Groups - Bring over Change Document logs - Map the Recipes to appropriate RD Recipe Statuses - Reuse change numbers used in RMWB Recipes by adding new object type Recipe development Data Validation tool was built by partner to compare the results of Data Migration tool with RMWB data 16
Lessons learned from Data Migration Lack of production quality data may bring surprises during actual data conversion / migration Lack of necessary security authorizations may cause issues Need to switch off and on certain configurations during Data Migration process Mock cutover runs are necessary to ensure data and procedures are correct to avoid errors Track time during cutover process to ensure proper planning during Go-Live actual data migration Enhance Standard Recipe Synchronization for Migrated data 17
Phase 1 Additional deliverables TREX was configured and enhanced to provide required search functionality Standard BOM structured synchronization functionality was enhanced to allow issue units of measure to be transferred to BOMs instead of Base Units or Recipe Units Material Where-used reporting and Recipe Scaling reports were created in addition to other reports 18
Phase 2 deliverables Create Interfaces between RD and MSDGEN system Specification status is automatically defaulted during the creation of the Specifications Current Synch flag was automatically set to match the version of the recipe that was opened Report to Simulate and Compare the Recipe Sync reconciliation workbench was built SAP DMS is configured to store reports during approval 19
RD Usability Features Unified UI with Personalized Work Environment Search - Quick Search - Advanced Search Availability of Information and Accessibility Enhanced Reporting and Excel Download Capabilities Other New Functionalities 20
RD Usability Features Others Quick creation of primary output specification when building new recipes Automatic Recipe consistency checks upon status transition Display and manage process flows between recipe stages in one view Single-status scheme for recipe lifecycle progression Upon recipe revision there is no need to re-enter target Master Recipe attributes when doing recipe synchronization (they are already stored in synchronization units) Ability to default plant-specific Master recipe defaults (e.g. profile, status, usage etc.) during Recipe synchronization Fast entry screen specifications - display/change all key specification data in one screen 21
Challenges Adoption of Change Scope Creep (automation) Resource Constraints (Time) SAP Role Updates Configuration and Code Fixes Out-of-the-box (this is not a custom solution) 22
Successes Simple customization is predicted to result in a 50% improvement in efficiency and usability for Recipe Developers - Example: Material Master custom transaction Workflow Improvements - Traceability - Communication - Automate Handoffs - Remove Redundant Data Entry 23
Successes User Feedback Search ability is great and keeps getting better. I believe that RD is a vast improvement over RMWB in regards to search functionality and ease of use. I have more time to spend doing my real work. 24
Lessons Learned Partner selection is critical Usability is improved over the current system, but still not what is desired Specifications and Material Master work consume most of Penny s time; customization necessary to achieve desired efficiency Training time required is less for experienced SAP users Security roles can cause delays so plan early and gain agreement 25
Lessons Learned Be prepared to decide where NWBC will replace your SAP GUI and the Version you would want to implement Firefighter does not work with NWBC Your Basis Team may need outside help to plan installation of new components that support RD Plan for data cleansing, release dependent Migration tools require intervention RD is not a 1:1 replacement for RM 26
Future Projects Customization for usability Additional workflows Add more parts of the business Additional operating company system integration With the RD framework that is built in Phase 1, 2 of the project we are bringing in Data from other operating companies in different platforms / systems and migrating them to RD. 27
Summary Implementing Recipe Developer can deliver greater usability and product data governance to business users. The SAP document management framework offers great business benefits What s critical: - Business Involvement early and throughout the project - RD is not a 1:1 Replacement - for RM - Plan, Plan, Plan - Train, Train, Train - Communicate, Communicate, - Communicate 28
