10 Change Process A project manager identifies quality issues at a particular component (gear motor) using PLM Analytics (Visual Enterprise, BCV) He creates an Engineering Change Record with a change request for the exchange of the problematic component (gear module) using SAP PLM 7 Engineering Change Record A product manager clarifies the technical feasibility on item level, initiates particular steps to be made, and releases the change request 11

The changes (exchange of old gear module with new one) are conducted by the engineering department in CAD using SAP PLM CAD Integration The Project Manager verifies and releases the changes done by the engineer using SAP Visual Enterprise and PDF Respective changes that apply to Manufacturing Bill of Material are done by the Manufacturing Engineer using SAP PLM 7 Product Structure Synchronization (PSS) Finally, the Product Manager closes the Engineering Change Record 12
