Service Manager Local (SML) ensuring high availability of the plant s network and infrastructure operations over the complete lifecycle of systems and services, and proactive preventative maintenance. Responsible for managing and coordinating operations activities with suppliers and internal Daimler Shared Services. Ensures appropriate network security, data storage/backup integrity and failover/disaster Recovery. Team Leader of IT Infrastructure and Operations Planning and implementation of IT infrastructure (network, data center, server, storage, workplaces, etc.) Deputy to Information Security Officer (ISO-Deputy), ensuring implementation of Daimler security policies Organizes, ensures and optimizes Service Management, Infrastructure Operations and Performance Management Contract, Supplier (including Local User Help Desk) and internal Daimler Shared Services Management Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management Provides advisory services and actively cooperates in project or competence teams Responsibilities:
1. Management: Manage, motivate and develop staff using target agreements and performance appraisals, founded on our mission statement & corporate values, and providing internal communications in order to achieve the agreed objectives. Ensure that the necessary training appropriate to the needs of individual employees and the tasks assigned to them is provided. Inform employees about relevant provisions and ensure compliance. Certify that they are implemented properly under consideration of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment. 2. Strategy and Management: Assist with developing a strategy for the overarching organizational unit, and building on this, develop and agree on strategies for implementation, and ensure implementation. Steer your own role on the basis of targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) and safeguard reporting capacity in partnership with the functional areas. 3. Planning and Control: Plan, agree and manage the budget and headcount in accordance with KPIs. Monitor compliance with budget targets, introduce and supervise cost-cutting measures where necessary, in liaison with the line manager, and develop an awareness of costs among staff. 4. Service Management: Coordinate all local, central and multi-site operational issues of IT area as Service Manager Local. Ensure system availability, according to the agreed Service Level Agreements. Document all IT services, manage service and license costs and develop/maintain a service catalog. Responsible for ITI relevant Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management. Serve role of Major Incident Manager (MIM) for Production Critical or Disaster relevant incidents and escalate when necessary. Collaborate with the local Information Officer (IO) in the planning, implementation & operation of new/existing applications. 5. Information Security: Serve role as Information Security Officer, Deputy. Responsible for managing all ITI relevant security topics, including annual ISO Goals, Baseline Security, Vulnerability Management, etc. 6. Projects: Responsible for the planning and implementation of projects, optimization and enhancements that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of IT systems and processes. Must abide by all Daimler and Van Production Center of Competency standards. Work closely with IT Infrastructure & Operations Virtual Competency and specialist teams. Support of ITC Vans in projects, where required. Qualifikationen Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or in
