PhantomPDF Standard and PhantomPDF Business web sites. Both versions of PhantomPDF natively work with CoSign to digitally sign and certify PDF files. They also support verification of digital signatures. Supported File Types PhantomPDF can be used to convert many different types of files to the PDF format and then sign them. Supported file types include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Create PDF files from scanned images
3 Digitally Signing PDF files with CoSign The following sections detail the steps needed to digitally sign files from PhantomPDF using CoSign. Configure CoSign Client First install the CoSign Client software on your Windows PC. Configure it with a CoSign signing service: your organization s CoSign Central server or CoSign Cloud. Check your configuration by digitally signing a PDF document using CoSign OmniSign. To sign with PhantomPDF, an additional configuration setting is needed: 1. From the CoSign configuration utility, select Client Configuration, then expand the Client settings, then select Login dialog 2. Click Set login dialog parameters 3. Uncheck Permit known applications only it should not be checked Please see the screenshot below.

5 Signing a PDF Document Launch PhantomPDF and open the document you would like to sign. Documents can be digitally signed and certified, or digitally signed. In this example, we are digitally signing and certifying a PDF file. Select Protect from the File Menu, then select Signature. from the ribbon, then select Certify with Visible
6 The Sign Document dialog is shown. Choose your Digital ID and change the Appearance Type to include a graphical representation of your signature. See below for creating your graphical appearance. Click Sign to complete the process. The signed document will be shown:

8 Creating a Graphical Signature Appearance To add a graphical signature to your digital signatures, select FILE, then Preferences. Select Signature. You will need to scroll down to see it. Select New to create a new Signature Style.
9 Complete the Configure Signature Style dialog, below. In the Configure Graphic section, select Imported graphic and choose your signature image file.
10 Verifying a Signature Click on a digital signature to validate it.
11 Signature Panel The signature panel shows information about all of the document s signatures.
12 To open the signature panel, choose the Signature button on the left Navigation pane at the bottom.
