The Vintage Sports-Car Club Limited 2016 VSCC Sprint and Hill Climb Championship REGULATIONS MSA Championship Permit Number: CH2016/S071 Held under the General Regulations of The Motor Sports Association (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and these Championship Regulations 1. SPORTING REGULATIONS GENERAL 1.1 Title & Jurisdiction: The VSCC Sprint and Hill Climb Championship is organised and administered by the Vintage Sports-Car Club in accordance with the General Regulations of the Royal Automobile Club Motor Sports Association (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and these Championship Regulations. MSA Championship Permit Number: CH2016/S071 Status: Clubman MSA Championship Grade: D 1.2 Officials: 1.2.1 Co-ordinator: Gill Batkin c/o VSCC, The Old Post Office, West Street, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, OX7 5EL 1.2.2 Eligibility Scrutineer: G J Walton Wayside Farm, Stanways Lane, Biddulph Moor, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST8 7LD 1.2.3 Championship Stewards: P J Donnelly, J L Malyan, J D Ryder c/o VSCC, The Old Post Office, West Street, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, OX7 5EL 1.3 Competitor Eligibility: 1.3.1 Entrants must be fully paid up valid membership card holding members of the Vintage Sports-Car Club and be in possession of a current MSA Entrants Licence. 1.3.2 Drivers and Entrants/Drivers must be fully paid up valid membership card holding members of the Vintage Sports-Car Club, be Registered for the Championship and be in possession of a current Competition Non-Race National B Status Licence, as a minimum. Or, be a professional driver in possession of a valid licence (featuring an E.U. flag) and medical, issued by the ASN of a member country of the European Union. A competitor shall not take time off school to participate in motor sport without the prior written approval of their school. If participation in the Championship requires absence from school, Drivers in full time school education are required to have the approval if their head teacher and a letter stating such approval of their head teacher and a letter stating such approval from his/her school in order to fulfil registration for the Championship. 1.3.3 All necessary documentation must be presented for checking at all rounds when signing-on. 1.4 Registration: 1.4.1 Registration is automatic upon entry to any round. 1.4.2 There is no registration fee. 1.4.3 The closing date for registration is the date at which entries close for the final round of the championship. 1.5 Championship Rounds: 1.5.1 The Championship will be contested over ten rounds as follows Date Round Organising Club 01/05/16 Curborough Vintage Sports-Car Club 08/05/16 Wiscombe Vintage Sports-Car Club 04/06/16 Harewood BARC Yorkshire Centre 18/06/16 Brooklands Vintage Sports-Car Club 03/07/16 Shelsley Walsh Midland Automobile Club 05/08/16 Prescott Long-Course Hill Climb Vintage Sports-Car Club 06 & 07/08/16 Prescott Speed Hill Climb Vintage Sports-Car Club 20/08/16 Pembrey Vintage Sports-Car Club 10 & 11/09/16 Loton Park Vintage Sports-Car Club 22/10/16 Goodwood Vintage Sports-Car Club Each qualifying meeting will run under its own Supplementary Regulations and Championship entrants will be bound by these Supplementary Regulations, the General Regulations of the MSA, and these Championship Regulations. 1.6 Scoring: 1.6.s will be awarded, within class for each round as follows Class Winner 5 Points Second in Class 4 Points Third in Class Fourth in Class 2 Points First Vintage Second Vintage Third Vintage 2 Points

First Handicap Second Handicap Third Handicap Standard Car Bonus Starter Marshalling 5 Points A competitor may attain Marshalling Points once per season; it is the duty of the Competitor to advice at which event they are claiming Marshalling Points. These points will be added following completion of duty and checked via event Marshal Signing-on Sheet. The maximum a class winner can score for a class win is 5 Points or equivalent to the number of starters in that class, whichever is less and scores of the runners-up will be adjusted accordingly e.g. where a class has only 3 starters the class winner will receive 3 points, 2 nd will receive 2 points and 3 rd will receive 1 point. Pembrey (20/08/16) will be a double points scoring round for competitors. In order to qualify for points in an event, a competitor must be classified as a finisher or recorded at least one practice run. The first two competition runs at each event will count towards Championship scoring. In the case of Force Majeure, should only one complete run be attained, the Championship will be scored on that one run. 1.6.2 Ties will be resolved by counting the highest number of first places, second places, third places etc until the tie is resolved. Should this method not resolve the tie the Speed Sub-Committee shall specify the method for resolution 1.6.3 Championship Points Appeal C6.5 The best 8 scores out of 10 rounds will count towards the championship. If competitors enter in more than one class over the qualifying rounds, competitors will be able to score points for more than one class and all points will count towards their overall score. 1.7 Awards: 1.7.1 Awards are presented annually at the Vintage Sports-Car Club Awards Presentation. SPORTING REGULATIONS GENERAL 2.1 Rounds: In accordance with Section C of the current MSA Yearbook 2.2 Championship: In accordance with Section C of the current MSA Yearbook 3. TECHNICAL REGULATIONS 3.1 Vehicles holding a current and valid VSCC Eligibility Document are eligible for the Championship 3.2 Classes will be as follows Class 1 Standard & Modified Sports-Cars and Saloon Cars* up to 750cc unsupercharged Class 2 Standard & Modified Sports-Cars and Saloon Cars* 751cc-1100cc unsupercharged, and up to 750cc supercharged Class 3 Standard & Modified Sports-Cars and Saloon Cars* 1101cc-1500cc unsupercharged, and up to 1100cc supercharged Class 4 Standard & Modified Sports-Cars and Saloon Cars* 1501cc-2000cc unsupercharged, and up to 1500cc supercharged Class 5 Standard & Modified Sports-Cars and Saloon Cars* 2001cc-3000cc unsupercharged, and up to 2000cc supercharged Class 6 Standard & Modified Sports-Cars and Saloon Cars* over 3000cc unsupercharged, and over 2000cc supercharged Class 7 Edwardian automobile-engined Cars Class 8 Special Sports-Cars and Saloon Cars* up to 1100cc unsupercharged, and up to 750cc supercharged Class 9 Special Sports-Cars and Saloon Cars* 1101cc-1500cc unsupercharged, and up to 1100cc supercharged Class 10 Special Sports-Cars and Saloon Cars* 1501cc-3000cc unsupercharged, and up to 2250cc supercharged Class 11 Special Sports-Cars and Saloon Cars* over 3000cc unsupercharged, and over 2250cc supercharged Class 12 Non automobile-engined Edwardian Cars Class 13 Pre-1941 Racing Cars up to 1100cc Class 14 Pre-1941 Racing Cars 1101cc-1500cc Class 15 Pre-1941 Racing Cars 1501cc-3000cc Class 16 Pre-1941 Racing Cars over 3000cc * Saloon Cars as defined in the VSCC Eligibility Of Cars, Edition 4, 2013 publication and at the discretion of the organisers 3.3 All competitors are required to comply with MSA and Event Regulations with regards to safety requirements.

I The British Automobile Racing Club (Yorkshire Centre) will organise a National B Permit Speed Hillclimb on Saturday 4 June 2016 at Harewood Avenue, Harewood, Leeds. 2 The meeting will be governed by the General Regulations of the Motor Sports Association Ltd (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FISA), these Supplementary Regulations and any written instructions that the organising club may issue for the event including the regulations published in the Harewood Speed Hillclimb Regulations. 3 MSA Permit Number: TBA BRITISH AUTOMOBILE RACING CLUB YORKSHIRE CENTRE HAREWOOD SPEED HILLCLIMB CLASSIC & VINTAGE MEETING Saturday 4 JUNE 2016 SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS 4 The event is open to all fully elected members of the organising club, BARC, VSCC, Fraser Nash Owners Club, Historic Sports Car Club, Bentley Drivers Club, Morgan Three Wheelers, HSA, Jaguar Drivers Club, Wigton MC, Historic 500 Owners Club, Historic Sports Car Club, Hagley & District LCC, Classic Marques Speed Challenge and the TR Register. The event counts towards the VSCC annual aggregate trophies (Classes V1 V18). 5 All drivers must produce a valid Competition Licence and Club Membership Card at signing on. 6 The programme of the meeting will be as published in the Final Instructions. 7 The length of the course is 1448.25 metres and consists of four left-hand and seven right-hand corners. The road surface is smooth tarmac and concrete. Vehicles in classes V1 V16 must also comply with the VSCC s Eligibility of Cars (2007) leaflet; an Eligibility Document for the car must be presented at signing-on. The following MSA Regulations are modified: C(b)19 Any fuel may be used by racing cars in classes V13 to V17. In other classes, a fuel available at garage pumps must be used. C(b)20 Cars in classes V1 to V10 must be road equipped, with working headlights, sidelights and tail lights. I25 All competing cars must have a valid MSA or VSCC log book, unless competing in a road-going class. Spare wheels must be removed. Cars should be silenced as MSA regulations for hillclimbs. 9 Awards will be presented as follows: Fastest Time of the Day Fastest Time by a Classic Car (classes C19 C22) Fastest Time by a Vintage Car (classes V1 V18) 1 st in class (subject to a min of 2 entries in class) 3 rd in class (subject to a min of 10 entries in class) 2 nd in class (subject to a min of 6 entries in class) 4 th in class (subject to a min of 16 entries in class) Awards will be presented at the end of the meeting after the results have been declared final. Please make arrangements for someone to collect your award if you are unable to stay for the presentation. Awards will not be posted, or held for collection at a later event.. 10 The entry list opens on publication of these Regulations and closes on 30 May 2016. Entry Fees will be refunded in accordance with Schedule 6 in the Hare wood Speed Hillclimb Regulations. 13 Provisional results will be published as soon as possible after the end of the event. 14 Cars will start singly. The starting signal will be a green light, method of timing will be electronic (Class E) from breaking a beam at Start to breaking a beam at Finish. The Finish line will be indicated by a line across the road. Cars will remain in single file on the start approach road until called forward by the Start Line Marshals. All Vehicles No Tyre Warming or Spinning of Wheels is allowed going to or before the Start Line Any driver ignoring this regulation will, in the first instance, forfeit that run and be directed back to the paddock. A repeat offence at the same meeting will result in exclusion from the meeting. The Chief Start Marshal will be a Judge of Fact for this regulation. 15 Competitors will be identified by Competition Numbers which will be available to purchase at signing on. 2
