Synthos S.A. grew out of the companies Firma Chemiczna Dwory S.A. and Kaucuk a.s. SYNTHOS, the current name of the company (introduced in 2007), derives from a fusion of two words of Greek origin, synthesis (join) and orthos (proper, right). The name replicates the Company s mission which is to manufacture and supply its clients with chemical products for further processing, contributing to the development of each client s business. The name also reflects the nature of the Company s operations in chemical synthesis. Synthos S.A. manages two production companies: Synthos Dwory Sp. z o.o based in Oświęcim and Synthos Kralupy a.s. based in Kralupy (Czech Republic). PL DWORY SYNTHOS CZ KRALUPY SYNTHOS is a modern insulation product developed with ecology in mind. Its modern formula is based on Synthos XPS white board that is well known and appreciated by customers in many countries. New defines new standards in the market due to its increased thermal insulating capability and care for the natural environment. s characteristic silver color is the result of a special recipe, which contributes to increased technical parameters of the product. Two basic assumptions were made in developing new Synthos XPS Prime, namely to implement a product that has increased thermal insulating capability and to take special care for the natural environment both during the entire production process and in use. Synthos XPS Prime has a GREEN LAMBDA symbol which reflects SYNTHOS s pursue of innovative solutions that make life easier and have no negative impact on the natural environment. SYNTHOS S.A. focuses its activities on three main product groups: synthetic rubbers and latexes, styrene plastics, vinyl and acrylic dispersions. SYNTHOS S.A. is the only Polish manufacturer of synthetic rubber and polystyrene, as well as being Europe s largest producer of Emulsion Styrene Butadiene Rubber (ESBR). The dynamic development of the company in recent years has made it an enterprise that is competitive, safe and environmentfriendly, which provides the market with highquality, stateoftheart products. SYNTHOS S.A. makes sure that buyers are satisfied with the scope of rawmaterials, semifinished products and chemical products. The company focuses its activities on quality and efficient customer service, as well as on the innovative character of products, attractive prices, ecological safety of their technologies and products, and on occupational safety. This effort has been backed up by the implementation of a certified Integrated Quality, Environment and Work Safety Management System. GREEN indicates that the product is ecological and produced without using harmful freons. The foaming process is based on carbon dioxide taken from air. LAMBDA means a high level of thermal insulation provided by SYNTHOS. Lowered λ value helps reduce energy losses and consumption of insulating material in specific applications. GUARANTEED GREEN LAMBDA excellent thermal insulation coefficient resistance to humidity impact excellent strength parameters easy installation

APPLICATION Peripheral insulation Peripheral insulation provides thermal insulation of the outer surface of the building, directly under the ground level, as well as providing additional protection of the waterproof insulation against mechanical damage. The parameters of the Synthos XPS PRIME panels enable them to be used to insulate walls in cellars, as well as foundation walls and panels which are in direct contact with the ground, and in the presence of underground water. Inverted roofs The insulation of roofs with inverted arrangement of layers, i.e. when the thermal insulation is placed on the sealing layer, has many advantages, particularly in terms of providing optimum working temperature of the waterproof insulation, as well as protecting it against damage and enhancing the durability of the entire roof. Such a roof structure can be covered with gravel or layer of greenery, so as to be used as a parking space or terrace. of floors The internal structure of Synthos panels makes them highly resistant to compression and, as a result, particularly appropriate for floor insulation. As for the insulation of floors subject to high loads, such as the floors in garages for heavy equipment, warehouses, etc., it is recommended to use Synthos 50 and 70 panels. of multilayer wall of thermal bridges The application of Synthos XPS PRIME between the two layers of the wall greatly improves its heatinsulation properties. This, combined with the simple processing method, enables a quick and easy assemble process. The arranging of panels into a single, continuous layer minimises the occurrence of thermal bridges. Effective insulation of a building requires particular attention to be paid to those spots, which are susceptible to the occurrence of thermal bridges and quick cooling (tie beams, plinths, concrete elements of the wall, corners and wall joints). It is recommended to use for such application the Synthos 30 and XPS PRIME 30 IR panels, which have a special, moulded surface, which provides enhanced adhesion. Thermal insulation of roads, railway tracks and airfields The unique properties of Synthos panels, related to the mechanical strength, resistance to freezing and defrosting, as well as slight absorbability, make them particularly applicable in the road, bridge, railway track and airfield construction industry.
