About Antares Antares is a SME part of OHB Group focused on development and integration of complete space systems. Its main fields of activity are: optical systems; scientific payloads; time and frequency synchronization; software and hardware products for space systems; ground control stations to manage the satellite and scientific payload operations; services and systems for Earth observation; commercial applications of technologies developed in the space sector for environmental monitoring services, security, telemedicine and fleet management. Antares is parts of the most important Italian aerospace associations. National Cluster

Operation Areas Antares Consortium works in different fields: Research, Developement and Industrialization of Aerospace Technologies. Remote Sensing and Telecommunication services. Design and commercialise turn-key solutions that exploit and apply new technologies developed by space research, offering innovative integrated products and services for ground based services. The associated companies, thanks to the experience and system support collaboration accumulated in the space sector, have been able to implement the initial developments of both the attitude control equipment and the energy subsystem as well as commercial satellite telecommunications. Through this situation, the consortium members have also acquired the technologies and resources necessary to produce a new generation of small satellites.

Projects The consortium is industrially actives and plays a major role in important projects such as PRISMA mission of the ASI (Italian Space Agency) and the ESEO (2008-2011) of the ESA (European Space Agency). The consortium was the prime contractor on ESA project to realise the separation system in small and medium satellites (in VEGA launcher). PRISMA ESEO

Projects VERTA 1 Program Antares entered into a contract with ESA to develop and qualify separation system SSIS-200 used on VEGA launcher to small and medium payloads, until 200 kg. VERTA 1 mission used the Proba-V satellite system. CARBONSAT Mission Antares signed a contract with OHB, named CARBONSAT to measure global concentrations of greenhouse gases (CO2 and CH4) by image spectrometer (Green House Gas Imaging Spectrometer GHGIS) to answer crucial questions concerning the source of greenhouse gases and ways of lowering emissions as well as to monitor and evaluate present and future of greenhouse gases.

Projects ARMES Program Antares is subcontractor in ESA ARMES (STAR TIGER Program). The main goal of ARMES Project is experimental prototype of autofocusing innovative system. ISHTER Project Time&Frequency distribution System, ISHTER, was commissioned to Antares by Committee for the re industralization of ABRUZZO region. The system we propose was born to synchronize broadcast television networks with an accuracy less than 100ns. EGSE for MTG-ESA Project In the frame of the MTG (Meteosat Third Generation) program, Antares is in charge to deliver the IRS-EGSE and SDP-SCOE, in order to support the integration tests at instrument and satellite levels.

Projects DEMETRA Project The DEMETRA project (DEMonstrator of EGNSS services based on Time Reference Architecture) is part of the EU funding program for research and innovation Horizon H2020 running from 2014 to 2020. The overall concept is the implementation of a project that allows to test and to validate time dissemination services that are based on current technologies, but introduce important features to the systems currently available. RESEARCH PROJECT GreenNOVA Composite materials based on natural fibers of vegetable origin, in particular as fibers originating from the machining of Hemp for industrial applications.

1000 m 500 m 300 m 100 m 300 m Antares Projects S.I.Na.V. Project (Autonomous Navigation Subsystem) Antares has made the R&D of an autonomous navigation and remote control subsystem for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which employs an integration of various systems and sensors such as IMU, GPS, LiDAR, Vision System, and related algorithms, for autonomous navigation and for the detection of obstacles during the flight (hazard detection). A.L.T.A. Project LTA (Lighter Than Air) system, consisting in 3 types of aerostat systems (ALTA5, ALTA10, ALTA20) with an integration of various systems and sensors. The main applications are: Surveillance and Security; Environment Disaster Management and Remote Sensing; Traffic Control; Unauthorized Building and Structures Control; Coasts, Beaches and Immigration Control;

Projects Satellite Earth Observation "OPSIS The mission of the italian satellite OPSIS for Optics High Resolution Earth Observation, for dual purpose (civil and military), involves the use of an optical telescope with high resolution. Once in orbit, OPSIS complete the picture of EO missions of the ASI (Italian Space Agency), in particular, it will allow to operate in a manner complementary to COSMO SKYMED.
