In addition the process for performing the picking operation on the mobile device are reviewed. This course is approximately 45 minutes long not including practices and quizzes. The course is taught using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3. Prerequisites Participant Requirements elearning Course Outline Students attending this section of the course should have a basic understanding of: General knowledge of Microsoft Windows Basic knowledge of warehouse management concepts Basic knowledge of picking concepts. Technology Requirements The site has been optimized for Internet Explorer. Although other browsers may work, it is recommended that you use Internet Explorer for the best experience. Silverlight must be installed in order to use the practices. A screen resolution with a minimum of 1024x768 is recommended. You can use full screen icons within the elearning to maximize your view. Course Outline Lesson 1: About Picking with a Mobile Device This lesson will discuss the process to pick items for a sales order in a warehouse location using a mobile device. The process will be explained from the setups in AX to the picking of the items using the mobile device Graphic of process flow Lesson 2: Setup for Picking in AX Part I In this lesson we will show how to set up the required forms in order to plan for how to pick merchandise from picking locations in the warehouse. This will include the location profile, the location directive, the wave template, and the work template Creating a location profile Creating location directives and work templates Create a Wave template Set up location profile, location directive, work template, and a wave template Lesson 3: Setup for Picking in AX Part II This lesson will explain additional settings to receive merchandise. We will see the options for handling merchandise when it it is received and also explain the concept of license plates. This lesson will demonstrate how the chosen menu options are utilized in the mobile device during the process of a pick. Evaluation Participants are presented with a quiz at the completion of the course including a total of 4 multiple choice and multiple answer questions. To achieve a passing score you must answer 70% of the questions correctly. Course certifications are only granted when the evaluation is passed.
