Round-robin of 8 teams 2. Play-off of 4 teams 4.6.2 Round-robin rules The round-robin is composed of 2 groups of 4 teams. The best two teams of each group are qualified for the next stage of the tournament. During the round-robin teams meet each other s in a best-of-three match (See rule 4.2.2). Each match result awards round-robin points (hereafter referred as points) as follows: 3 for a win, 0 for a defeat. If a team is disqualified or didn t finish a match during a round-robin, all his matches results within the group are cancelled and are also lost by default score of 2-0. All points won or lost are backwardly redistributed. 4.6.3 Round-robin tie-breaker rules During round-robin the teams are ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 0 points for a loss). If two or more teams were equal on points on completion of the round-robin matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings: 1. Higher number of points obtained in round-robin matches played among teams tied; e.g: team A won against team B, thus team A has 3 points and team B 0 point 2. Higher map difference obtained in the round-robin matches played among the tied teams will be used. e.g: team will have a map difference of +2 for a match won 2 maps to 0 map, and a map difference of -2 for a match lost 0 map to 2maps 3. If, after applying criteria 1 to 2 to several teams, two or more teams still have an equal ranking, criteria 1 to 2 are applied exclusively to the matches between the teams in question. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria 4 to 6 apply; 4. Higher map difference obtained in all the round-robin matches played by the teams still tied; 5. Lower sum of Time Ratings (see point 4.2.4 Time Rating) in the round-robin matches played among the teams tied. 6.
