1 Introduction This document is a step by step procedure on how to install the Model 205 power supply software. 2 Equipment Model 205 Power Supply Model 205 Software on USB memory stick USB mouse 3 Special Considerations The M205 Power Supply will contain either the Windows XP or Windows Embedded Standard 7 operating system. The following instructions are written using screens from the Windows XP operating system. The Windows Embedded Standard 7 screens will differ slightly but the functionality will be the same. 4 Installation and Setup 4.1 Access the Windows Operating System Turn on the Model 205. When the Start up process has completed, click the SHUT DOWN button Doc No 750107 3 of 10
When the Shutdown Windows screen opens, click the area circled. 4.2 Run the M205 Power Supply Installation executable file Insert the supplied USB memory stick. Click Start -> My Computer -> D: drive Double click the M205SETUP folder, then double click the M205 Power Supply Installation executable file. DOUBLE Doc No 750107 4 of 10
4.3 Uninstall the old Model 205 software The Add or Remove Programs screen will display. Select the M205 program and click Change/Remove The M205 Maintenance screen will display. Select Remove the application from this computer, then click OK Close the Add/Remove Programs screen. Doc No 750107 5 of 10
The Has M205 software been uninstalled? dialogue box will display. Click Yes. 4.4 Install the Ap1200 printer driver The executable file will continue to run, then will automatically go to step 4.5 if the Ap1200 printer is already installed. If the printer is not installed, then printer driver screens will open. Read the terms, select I accept the terms above, then click Next. Doc No 750107 6 of 10
Click Restore Defaults Check the Proceed without confirming printer connected box, then click Next. Select the Ap1200 printer model, then click Next. Doc No 750107 7 of 10
For Do you want your printer to be the default printer? select Yes, select Do not share this printer, then click Next. For Do you want to print a test page select No, then click Next. Doc No 750107 8 of 10
Click Finish. 4.5 Install the new Model 205 software The executable file will continue for approximately 15 seconds, then the Application Install Security Warning screen will open, click Install. Doc No 750107 9 of 10
After the installation is complete the FILE EXIT dialogue box will display. Click OK. The Model 205 software will automatically open. 4.6 Shutdown and cycle power on the Model 205 Click SHUT DOWN. Doc No 750107 10 of 10
